Sending good thoughts!!!
In case no one else was aware, POYB and his wife were fortunate enough to welcome a healthy daughter into the world this afternoon. While he has obviously had a rather busy day and I have to figure he'll wander in here eventually with more comprehensive information than I can provide, I wanted to pass the news along nonetheless. Have to think some of the sentiments expressed here and other places certainly didn't hurt the cause. But now, the big question is: As POYB is a Superior fan living in Green Bay, will the child become loyal to the hometown MCHA or will POYB be able to steer her towards his more traditionally acceptable WIAC??![]()

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, prayers and good vibes. They have worked. As Mr. Webb has stated, the big concern that was presented to us.....is almost gone. We were told as recently as 6 weeks ago that she had a 10% chance of living. Then, we were told she will be alive, but will have to be in the NICU for quite some time. So after almost 40, yes, you read that right, 40 hours of labor, they decided to go with a c-section. Marissa Joy was born at 3:52 pm yesterday afternoon, weighing in at 7lbs, 8.4 oz. I would call her a left-winger. I thought she would be of the D-man size, but didn't quite grow as big as I anticipated....yet. The best news was that she would not have to stay in the NICU at all...and that she will be able to go home with us once mom is discharged! Never did we think that would happen, and when the doctor told me that before I went into the surgery room, my jaw just hit the floor. So, thanks to all of you for sending the prayers needed to get her right! And I will do my absolute best to raise her a 'Jacket fan, but I think her grandpa will sway her toward SNC. I do have some pictures up on my facebook. I haven't figured out how to get them here yet. I suck a technology. And yet, I'm going to try and raise a baby. Go figure. Thanks again, and see you at the CCC!
