Re: POTUS: It Can Happen Here Again

Oh lordy there are tapes. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/rec...e-dinner-ukraine-ambassador/story?id=68506437

A recording reviewed by ABC News appears to capture President Donald Trump telling associates he wanted the then-U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch fired while speaking at a small gathering that included Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman -- two former business associates of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani who have since been indicted in New York.

The recording appears to contradict statements by President Trump and support the narrative that has been offered by Parnas during broadcast interviews in recent days. Sources familiar with the recording said the recording was made during an intimate April 30, 2018, dinner at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Trump has said repeatedly he does not know Parnas, a Soviet-born American who has emerged as a wild card in Trump’s impeachment trial, especially in the days since Trump was impeached.

"Get rid of her!" is what the voice that appears to be President Trump’s is heard saying. "Get her out tomorrow. I don't care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. Okay? Do it."

Re: POTUS: It Can Happen Here Again

I don't think it has anything to do with "good faith," or bad faith for that matter.

The facts are the facts. Trump called up the President of Ukraine, and together with his people, basically said that we've got his money, and we'll send it right over, but first we want you to publicly investigate the Bidens.

Everybody has known that for months.

Of course Trump and his cronies are going to use the Shaggy defense.

But the point I was trying to make is that standing up on the floor of the Senate and repeating 79 times, "Trump demanded Ukraine investigate his primary political rival before he'd give them their money" is just going to cause large segments of the American public to say, "yeah, I heard that the first time you said it" and then switch channels.

I'm sure discussing the strategy of the trial is more comfortable ground than discussing that your party and its voters are A-OK with treason. :p

Re: POTUS: It Can Happen Here Again

Treason, eh? Better stick to the “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Adapting the formal diplomatic and economic policy of the United States for person gain.

Treason.

I'm honestly sorry you can't see it. If there was a D after his name you would want Dump on a gibbet.

If you want to get really depressed about the United States just listen to the whole press conference.

Why hasn't the Senate opened an investigation into the Biden's and called Hunter and Joe in by now? The reason I ask is I don't get it. They can do investigations too. Do it or shut the **** up about it.

"If you have nothing to hide you shouldn't be scared of cops"

Senate GOP uses Trump's executive privilege threat as rallying cry against subpoenas

Won't go through the courts. Roberts says whether its privileged or not. Right then and there.

Plus, executive privilege can't be used to conceal evidence of wrongdoing.

These fukkin ads screw with being able to edit posts on your phone, too.

WASHINGTON, Jan 24 (Reuters) - The Pentagon said on Friday that 34 service members had been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury following missile strikes by Iran on a base in Iraq earlier this month, a number higher than the military had previously announced.

President Donald Trump and other top officials initially said Iran's attack had not killed or injured any U.S. service members.

Last week the U.S. military said 11 U.S. troops had been treated for concussion symptoms after the attack on the Ain al-Asad air base in western Iraq and this week said additional troops had been moved out of Iraq for potential injuries.

...

On Wednesday, Trump appeared to play down the injuries, saying he "heard that they had headaches and a couple of other things."

Re: POTUS: It Can Happen Here Again

Dump likes troops who don't suffer traumatic brain injuries. These troops were weak. They were probably gay.

Doesn’t take much to get them to decide not to do the moral thing.
