This is not going to be an issue. Trump likely broke a sh-t ton of campaign laws but there is no mechanism for rerunning the election. Presidents have cheated to win before (1960, 2000) and the worst that happens is fines to some poor sap in a district office. After 1/20 the same party will control the first 18 slots of succession, so no matter how deep the rot goes down the spinner will land on a Republican.

I don't think that their is any question that Trump is going to be the official, and only, president on Jan 20th. Questions will remain for years over the election, particularly with regards to the Russians involvement. The irony is that Trump has done for to delegitimize his own election that anyone else.

Trump will begin his Presidency with an approval of 37%. No president in the polling era has ever begun his presidency at less than 65% approval.

The poll was conducted before the dissemination of the golden arches.

Trump transition staff announced, and I swear I am not making this up, that they "didn't want" the inauguration to be "overshadowed" by A list celebrities.

Translation: "You can't fire me, I quit!"

It doesn't concern you that the one person in charge could potentially be blackmailed by a foreign power to work in their interest? Only that there might be confusion over who the person in charge is?

Way to miss the forest for the trees.

That's not what I said.

What I said is that the Washington way is to do nothing and find excuses about why you did nothing. (Notice there is no D or R associated with that.)
The longer you can drag out a problem or issue the longer you can milk your donors because you're "working on it; it's more complex than we initially realized".

The British really don't know what to make of us. We're the slow cousin they keep in the attic. We are the Brits' Newfies.

Priebus is on record now, too. Hopefully it will take awhile for this to unspool so every Republican fulminates in defense of Trump for fear of offending the deplorables. Then when the reaction comes they will be caught up in it too.

Couldn't happen to a better bunch.

Issue is no mainstream American with information believes that about Obama. Events like these - whether true or not - are barely newsworthy enough next to all the true stories about Trump to make it to the front page. Its not surprising that Obama has 25% more American support than Trump.

You know, the fact that you're having to cite those two places rather than the usual lapdogs (Fox, WSJ, hell even the Moonbat errrr Washington Times, etc) should tell you something. Add should the fact that both Obama and Trump received notice of this in their official intelligence reports.

I do love the irony that Trump is being hurt by the same salacious innuendo that he peddled for the last 18 months.

I've met plenty of people who sincerely believe that Obama is a Muslim. Just because they're not running in your circles, doesn't mean there isn't a sizeable bloc of them out there.
