Maybe you should talk to Mitch McConnell. There’s about 5,000 pages of new laws waiting on the senate to take them up.

And, AGAIN, I say the Ds should be going balls out hard core to find something to make the Rs not be jack-bags to keep this impeachment rolling.

And now I'll cue up about a dozen posts from some around here saying that's the same as saying "both sides," which it isn't. One side is doing much worse things than the other. Hint: orange

Oh. Now I get it. The Dems have to figure out how to make Turtle Boy play nice with them in the sandbox. And, that will fix everything. Cause, you know, it's the Dems who really need to figure that **** out. Mitch is way too busy and important to figure out how not to act like a total dick.

Yes, they do have to. Show some teeth. Force him to not sit in a corner and give the silent treatment.

You have said MANY times yourself that the Dems need to change their ways. Here's the chance.

There is only one way to "work with" Mitch. Send him to the minority and mandate all cloture votes are 50% +1.

I don't know. The people (all of them) involved in this situation are more intelligent than you and me, pertaining to this situation. I just have to imagine there is some fine print somewhere, somehow, that the Dems can use. I at least have to hope for that.

Ds cannot force Mitch to do much of anything, and the end result of this trial is not in doubt. The only chip Ds have is their questionable ability to play this process into a positive factor in the election. Not with the R base, because that is wasted energy, but with those few votes that flipped or did not show in '16. Individual R legislators may not fear unelection, but they collectively fear losing the WH.
