No need to fake it when I'm already halfway there with my normal accent. And I'll just say I'm from Windsor, aka "South Detroit". That'll work. ;)

Most of the time I told the truth, but a couple times I told people I was from Thunder Bay, just north of the MN border in Ontario.

Since this all started with the crappy way we treat our Vets, how about you convince your party to actually take care of the vets after they have made their wall street buddies money by either killing people which breaks stuff or killing people to secure more natural resources.

Instead of relying on charity to take care of our veterans.

It's horrible that the freedumb guys want to raise the debt to spend more on "defense" but also cut services to the men and women who serve in the armed forces. Disgraceful.

This is your party.

I'm thinkin' if you vote 66.7% or higher for a party you are that party, whether you feel the need to shower afterwards or not.

Part of my long journey from Independent to Democrat was having to accept that voting Democratic 75% of the time, third party 25%, and Republican never made me a Democrat. That was galling, but it is what it is. I would much prefer to call myself an Anti-Republican (Antifa for short) but as I've aged and third parties have come to seem like vanity projects to me in our system which f-cks them, I am what I am.

I've been reading your posts for almost two decades. You're a mainstream Republican who diverges on a few issues. You'd have counted as a conservative Republican 25 years ago which means of course today you're far left within the GOP spectrum, but you still fit there. I seriously doubt you're going to start racking up the votes for Democrats in the future.

R may be way too far right for you (the Democrats are way too far right for me) but you're one of em, like it or not, just as I'm all about the D.

I am no happier about it than you are.
