If the armies of the original inhabitants rose up, they would certainly have a point.
But conquest of space hasn't been accepted as a means of getting territory for over 100 years. Except for Israel, who moved beyond the borders given to them.

They are, I believe, the only nation where their neighbors want to annihilate them.
The partition borders were a joke. IIRC Israel had less border (in terms of kms) to defend after the 1967 War than before their War of Independence.

Other than India/Pakistan, and a few countries in Africa, of course.
Nice to make an excuse for Israel to take by force area.... Given their track history in how they treat Palestinians, it's really hard to defend them via human rights. We just do because. And that Israel is a strong army where we can find cheap oil.
All this really does is continue the battle, and kill more people. What's the point to that?? When does that ever end? Or do we just keep it going so that we can profit?

I'm not sure why you are trying to justify Israel taking Jerusalem by force this way. Makes no sense. Either way, it's wrong. You are just being a dumper by using "whatif" as if it's some kind of powerful tool.

Democrats need to figure out either:

Did the Native Americans know that we bought their ancestral lands? At the very least, they didn't take kindly to the idea. And then when we sent in the US Army to "quell" the Indian threat, bringing many different groups to the edge of extinction, that seems a lot like conquering of peoples to me.

That was their entire foreign policy agenda from the word go. They softened the language in the platform regarding Russian influence in the Ukraine, and their number one priority starting day 1 in office was to get the sanctions on Russia lifted. Basically give them a free pass for what they had been doing in the Ukraine, Syria, Iran, wherever else. Give Putin carte blanche to do what he wanted to do.
Why, their reasonings, I don't know. It certainly wasn't in America's interests to allow Russia to take over the Ukraine, or to have unfettered control in Syria and Iran. One might argue that doing so would pave the way for better relations with Russia, and arrive at some sort of peaceful agreement regarding Iran and Syria. But is Putin ever gonna come to terms on an agreement that favors the US? Why would he do so?
However, there are numerous reasons why letting Putin do whatever he wanted could be beneficial to Donald Trump personally. And others in his campaign circle as well. This is why they were talking with the Russians, and this is why they wanted to keep those communications secret. And why they would lie about doing something that was perfectly legal for them to do.
It's all about the money. selling out their country for personal benefit. They should all hang.
