Re: POTUS 46:24 - Donald Trump! Superstar!!

The AARP is going to make sure their membership knowss this...

Well they are running out of f-cking time. I haven't seen a lot of AARP furor over this. Imagine if the NRA ox was being gored. The NRA would be breaking into programming like the Emergency Broadcast System and instructing its members to march on Rome, er, Washington.

This
is weak sauce. I want "the third rail" to be telling Republicans that if they vote for this they are dead.

Man when the market corrects in 2018/2019 there is going to be a lot of retirees looking for work if/when this passes.

My parents and I have already been joking about this. I keep telling them to enjoy their last winter abroad before they're forced to implement household austerity measures, and they keep threatening me, "Be careful what you wish for - we might have to move in with you!" :D

They arent going to make a furor until they absolutely have to you know that. Do it too early and it fizzles out or they come up with some way to mask it.

But hey if they dont then I wont have much sympathy for their plight anymore. If the old people dont want to be covered by Medicare and SS that is their business. Hope they enjoy working the front lanes at Target til they are 90.

Well, Dow 24k hit today. I'm moving to a less aggressive portfolio starting now. Lock it in.

I'm young and will ride it out. If anything, I will move to an even more aggressive and more international portfolio after the corrections bottom out.

This is ridiculous. I mean this isnt even funny anymore you cant just keep replacing everyone every 6 months even in the business world you will crap the bed under those changes.

The problem is unless you're tightly connected to a business, you never hear when a senior VP of whatever is let go. Trump has *always* done this (ie: See original premise for The Apprentice, and read what happened to the guy who won (hint: he was rocketed to a mich higher level position quicker than expected because of constant management shifts)).

The only reason this is so visible is because this is sooooooooo much more publicly visible to so many outside sources.

You can't just e-mail the shareholders tomorrow evening saying that "Rex Tillerson's email and phone are no longer active. For any issues, please now contact the new guy at..." And forget about it by Monday morning.

"Rex Tillerson and the US State Department have parted ways. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Hopefully this doesn’t scare you, but that’s exactly how I feel.

At this point, I'm just debating how much longer to hold out before I shift everything from an older account into an ultra-conservative money market fund. I have been aiming to roll that one over into my current account at the bottom of the next bear market.

Once those holiday sales reports and EOY earnings are delivered, and the trailing indicators are good for the time being, I figure we've got about 6 months of watching the leads.

You would expect the good times to come to an end fairly soon. At this point even a couple thousand more points doesn’t do a ton for you percentage wise.

It amazes me during this run how much of a dichotomy there has been between the stock market and the economy for the average person. Even the people who have purportedly cut way ahead I’m a little unsure on given exorbitant housing costs in a lot of areas.

Corporations are hording earnings or paying out dividends to shareholders, not increasing paychecks for their average employees.
