This is the boilerplate reaction from Republicans today.

This is coming from a US Senator who should know better. Ivy League education is NOT what it used to be.

Hawley, you say? Required.

And the lawyer working on the Hunter Biden prosecution was Trump appointed. They just cannot hire very good people.

They have a history of that.

Hunter Biden masterminded some global fraud scheme, with the assistance of his dad. Misdemeanor failure to pay taxes charges.

Hillary Clinton personally rode in on a Toyota Tundra with ISIS assistance through the streets of Benghazi Lybia and with her bare hands slaughtered those four American soldiers. No charges found.

Bill Clinton was orchestrating some global land deals in Arkansas using his political power like a fascist dictator to set himself up for a cushy life after the presidency. All they could stick him with is with whom he stuck himself in.

Republicans. Dangerously inept since 1964.

LOL, all those "deep dives," and all they get on him on is a pair of legit misdemeanor failure to pay tax charges and a felony illegal possession of a firearm that they'll drop as long as he maintains terms of the agreement?

El-Oh-El

I'd call conservatives dumber than a burlap sack of rocks, but burlap sacks AND rocks are more useful.

And Donnie could have just returned to his career of grifting if he had just returned the documents.

Biden has quietly scored a victory for Rail Workers: They now get paid sick days.

No fuss, no big bragging or anything... Dude just goes out and works for the people. I'm starting to realize that despite all the turmoil, history is probably going to be quite favorable to Biden in retrospect...

Turmoil? If you mean the Hunter Biden BS that will be forgotten like Roger Clinton. If you mean Tara Reade she defected. If you mean the election history will show that 30% of the country is so stupid thy think the Earth is flat.

History will look at Biden as the guy who wowed no one just went and got things done...which is his job.

Couple that with the media trying to make a big deal about how the grant to for didn't have any union labor requirements. These people just can't help but throw feces and call Biden anti union

Whenever the hall of fame votes come up we always talk about players being judged in the context of their time. Sometimes I think if we were to judge presidents that way, Joe Biden might be one of the best ever.

It is ridiculously hard to govern in 2023 America, especially to be president. More politicians than ever are in it for the wrong reasons, and you have one entire party that is a complete cult and would oppose Biden under virtually any circumstance and no matter what he will do or say.

Yet during the entire tenure of his presidency we've seen things like this win for rail workers and dozens of other steps forward. Yes many of them small, and many of them could be undone the next time we elect a fascist president. But the last 3 democratic presidents have had the deck stacked against them in endless ways. If only their party knew how to better trumpet their message.

Biden might not be Lincoln or FDR, but goddammit they should be marketing him that way. Even people left of center still call him Sleepy Joe. Well he might be sleepy, but when the motherfuc ker is awake he is actually getting 5h!t done.

I dont think you can market Joe. The things that make him effective are the things the marketable voters (i.e. lazy) find boring. None of them cares about bipartisanship or the number of judges he got through...and the fact is whenever Dems do market themselves they tend to come off as pompous. (or it is easily spun that way ask Obama)

Honestly, I think Joe and his people get it in a way few politicians these days do. The less planned things look the better. Some of Joe's best attacks against Trump were spur of the moment stuff like the flyswatter after the Veep debate or the "shut the hell up" comment to his face. If you figure each side has their 40% locked then "The Middle" is who you care about. They don't care about the histrionics they care about if they have jobs and feel safe. If they do then they re-elect the incumbent, if they don't things get dicey. Polls don't matter, speeches don't matter and debates don't matter. What matters is how the person feels as they enter the voting booth.

Now, the thing that could derail that is always malaise. Dems were notorious for being bored by candidates and staying home. The GOP knew if they just got out of the way the Dems would shoot themselves in the foot more often than not. That has completely flipped though. Now the GOP is the one continuously making the dumb mistakes. The backlash to Dobbs has only gotten worse yet they are now pushing for a national 15 week ban, the House GOP is a full on clownshow on everything especially Hunter Biden and now Impeaching Biden over a border that is actually more secure and instead of candidates for most offices moving more towards electability (i.e. The Middle) they are going more fringe turning off even parts of their base. They have no platform, no suggestions, no answers all they have is the word "Woke" which they can't even define. Christ half of them are Putin apologists openly and they are watching his country fall apart and Ukraine (who most people in this country support) is laughing and continuously making them look like fools. The GOP is doing everything they can to stack the deck against themselves. So let them...

Look, next year the media and certain media wannabes are going to tell everyone who will listen all the reasons Joe can't win, shouldn't win and won't win. They will make things really bleak especially if/when Trump is the nominee. We will all see it and fall prey to it because we are worried. You know who likely isn't...Biden. There is little chance he loses any real amount of support and the GOP has no one that can gain enough to change the map. The problem is demographics and the truth is that more people prefer this to the nightmare that is Trump and the modern GOP. They need to find a way to not only flip back GA and AZ (which doesn't seem likely) but also flip back multiple Blue states like Trump did in 2016. They aren't going to do that just on the "Woke Agenda" not when women are worried about their health and unemployment is at historic lows.

I love that with Joe...the MAGAts swear he's completely senile end up puppet president who strings are being pulled by the rest of the "deep state," yet is also such a master manipulator... That he can get the media to ignore everything involving Hunter... Bury a story about the submarine imploding days earlier to keep the media focused on it again so that they don't mention anything involving Hunter... And now he's gotten Wagner in Russia to stage a phony coup to... You guessed it... Keep the media from talking about Hunter.
The mental gymnastics of these people is exhausting if they don't own stock in tin foil they need to.

I shop Costco maybe once a month. She claims that all but nine items are food. For my educated guess:

Nine "small purchase" items:
Kirkland paper towels - $25
Kirkland toilet paper - $25
Ziploc sandwich bags (platic bags) - $12
Ziplock freezer bags - $12
Disposable razor blades - (?) $30
Kirkland trash bags - $25
Kleenex 8 pack - $25
Not sure what the other two items could be, but we can ballpark it's ~ $200 total in "non food items" (which, is accurate for when I stock up every six months or more on the same items.)

That leaves us $600 for forty nine "food" items.

No alcohol, no tires, no electronics, no big purchases, no steaks, no junk food, no sugary foods, no vitamins, no cosmetics, no medicine, and no soda. Lots of frozen broccoli, if you must know, and two packs of chicken thighs.

Right out the gate:
Chicken thighs x2 = $60
"Lots" of frozen broccoli (eight? packages @ $10 ea) = $80.

So we're down to 39 items totalling $460.

Average cost per item remaining is: $11.79.

It's Costco, food items are in bulk, so this tracks.

This woman is so full of sh*t, she could have starred in Two Girls One Cup.

The only thing this proves is she's a moron spouting off for the wrong reasons, double and triple downed on her lies, and can't see the giant L she's taken.

Just like a lot of conservatives.
