That really has zero to do with what he is saying or the fact that he is right...

Re: PoTUS 45 LVXII: Pandemic Legacy Season 3

I like DeBlasio. I wish he were my mayor. Competent leadership is hard to come by these days. And he is right.

Agreed. I go to a Dumpy diner and I love reading the NY Post to see them rant and scream nonsense about DeBlasio. If you're not getting ack-ack you're not over the target.

Considering a pardon for Flynn.

I hate calling people names, but our so called president really is a piece of ****. I’m sorry for insulting pieces of ****. Couldn’t even tell the difference between .025 and .25.

We're at the point where the president is no longer the real problem. It is the people who believed the president when he said everything was fine and this was one person and was a hoax made up by the media so the economy would tank. We have examples of politicians now, from both parties, trying to say and do the right things. It is apparently too late though to change the minds of trumps followers. 40% of this country is made up of the same sort of people who followed Jim Jones to Hell. They are the problem. The evidence is overwhelming on what we need to do. trump followers are so myopic, so selfish, so unwilling to admit they are wrong and that their god is just a miserable, stupid, corrupt grifter. As far as I'm concerned, trumps followers are domestic enemies to this country.

It’s why I’ve honestly had social distancing from my friends who vote republican the last few years- namely the ones who still support republicans. For me, I find them dangerous and utterly disgusting and not the kinds of people I need in my life.
I have some good friends who are R and hate what they’ve become, and we often have amazing conversations on topics.

When Colbert said early in his administration, "He actually makes me miss George W. Bush", I laughed. Then I got angry. Now I mostly just laugh again.

Is it bad to point out the followers of Jim Jones all died off?

All of this. The posts saying you should put politics aside and be big enough to stay friends leave me cold. I am not staying friends with someone who is willing to defend someone who has no moral character and continues to defend them. Esp the ones who are devoutly 'Christian' but think the economy is more important than people.

I am willing to hear an argument for why they think what they think but when they are at a worship him, he is infallable all the nopes

Well I hope Trump enjoyed his one day reprieve from the nosedive...Dow Futures are way down it is going to get crushed. The Trump Recession is in full swing!

Never forget. Obama had a pandemic office. Trump fired them. Now look where we are.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Public health and national security experts shake their heads when President Donald Trump says the coronavirus “came out of nowhere” and “blindsided the world.”

They’ve been warning about the next pandemic for years and criticized the Trump administration’s decision in 2018 to dismantle a National Security Council directorate at the White House charged with preparing for when, not if, another pandemic would hit the nation.

“It would be nice if the office was still there,” Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Health, told Congress this week. “I wouldn’t necessarily characterize it as a mistake (to eliminate the unit). I would say we worked very well with that office.”

The NSC directorate for global health and security and bio-defense survived the transition from President Barack Obama to Trump in 2017.

Trump’s elimination of the office suggested, along with his proposed budget cuts for the CDC, that he did not see the threat of pandemics in the same way that many experts in the field did.

“One year later I was mystified when the White House dissolved the office, leaving the country less prepared for pandemics like COVID-19,” Beth Cameron, the first director of the unit, wrote in an op-ed Friday in The Washington Post.

**** Republicans. **** Trump. **** all of them.
