If that were the proof, then McCarthey would be speaker, as Donnie wants him, and has been twisting arms behind the scenes to get him in. With little effect.

And then, there are Republicans firmly against him, many of them you would consider MAGAts. But they don't want the guy Donnie wants. Which they would if Donnie has the hold on the party you say he does.

I think you are naive if you think Trump wants McCarthy to be Speaker. He wants someone more loyal with a spine. The problem is MTG or Gaetz will never get the votes.

The inevitable begins. Alternate Dump NFTs.

I'm just going by what I see in the news, which is that Trump is making calls pressuring lawmakers to vote for McCarthy as speaker, and they aren't backing down.

I'm not so sure about that last part. A whole lot of Trump supporters seem to be just that: Trump is their god. I definitely think there would be a not-insignificant number of his supporters who would sit out the general election if Trump loses the primary - especially if he spends the next 18+ months demonizing the eventual winner before going down in flames.

This. I would not say it's a majority, but he has a significant cult of maybe 10-15% of his voters who won't vote for anyone else no matter how much they embrace MAGA. A lot of people who fall for "both sides are the same" had never voted or stopped voting altogether prior to 2016. Recall also that he actually got over 11m more people to vote for him in 2020 than in 2016, and while it's true that 34% of voters under 25 voted for him in 2020 (most of them white men), not all of those new voters were young.

One of the big crypto scams is to create the NFT, "buy" it with bots, trade it like crazy to get price and activity up, then sell it off to saps who think it's an actual hot item, and then disappear.

Until I see otherwise, I will assume this is a combination of direct sales to rubes and bot purchases. In 3 months they'll be worthless.

They are worthless now, like all NFTs.

That would not surprise me. A scam on top of the scam. Does anyone make money legit nowadays?

Well, they're worth what people will pay for them. Some amount of these 45,000 were bought by actual (stupid) humans. The rest by bots who will eventually sell to more (stupid) humans, and then those humans might try to sell them and realize that their $99 purchase is trading at $.19 per card.

It doesn't work for money laundering if you can't pass them on.

Trump gets $4.5 million in questionable funds in his SuperPAC.
His SuperPAC buys $4.5 million worth of NFTs from Trump NFT LLC.
The SuperPAC is left holding worthless NFTs, but Trump doesn't care because the SuperPAC is just a collection point for the grift anyway.

And Donnie gets $4.5 million in his bank account that he can use to pay off his Russian creditors.
