Donald Trump’s chief financial officer is expected to plead guilty to tax violations Thursday in a deal that would require him to testify about illicit business practices at the former president’s company, two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.

Allen Weisselberg is charged with taking more than $1.7 million in off-the-books compensation from the Trump Organization over several years, including untaxed perks like rent, car payments and school tuition.

In June of this year, seven weeks before the FBI raided former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in search of classified materials, former Defense Department appointee and outspoken Trump loyalist Kash Patel vowed to retrieve classified documents from the National Archives and publish them on his website.

Trump had just issued a letter instructing the National Archives to grant Patel and conservative journalist John Solomon access to nonpublic administration records, according to reporting at the time.

FBI just charged a former Dem congressman with campaign violations and wire fraud. Where's the outrage from the Repubs against that government overreach? Where are all the Dems threatening violence in the streets?

It’s interesting that this line of thinking is still going on. The warrant does not care about classified status. As in even if the reclassification was real,it doesn’t matter. This is not about classified status, but the content and specific laws covering the content.

At this point, throw it on the wall and see if it sticks. That seems to be the official legal strategy here.
