SJHovey has reminded me that there is nothing to worry about. We should ignore all of this and how it parallels other downfalls in history because America is special and amazing and some other such nonsense.

geezer,

Ralph Reed is self aggrandizing scum and I bet you he has skeletons in his closet that make Falwell's look like a night at the Rotary Club.

Certainly there is nothing to worry about.

Most curious that I receive a vast spewage of vitriol for pointing out Reid (D-NV) did it first and we can only speculate on who will be "first loser" (second place, second to do it). I guess that reality hit a sore spot.

In the past, here, I've said "free ID for any US citizen", but require it to vote.

I have no problem with that. The problem is that we have conditioned our people not to get anything (vaccines) from the government because it will send our brainwaves to the 5G and the government will own all our thoughts and data.

So, until the very people (Republicans) fix that problem they can fuck off on the ID requirement.

I'm fine with this. Now go explain to your Nazi Members how we are going to have a federal ID card and how even black people are entitled to them, and how we won't impose hurdles for them.

Good luck with that.

Voter suppression has nothing to do with ID or voter security or the integrity of elections. It's Jim Crow 2, right down to the same as-sholes are doing it. They used to be ours; we kicked them out; now they're yours.

There’s an interesting podcast called The Experiment about how Evangelicals abandoned the Bible and turned to political power as the one and only ultimate salvation. They interviewed a dude named Ralph Reed, a political operative “moral majority “ type who after Falwell is probably the biggest shot-caller among evangelicals. He turned Trump in their eyes from scumbag to false god in 2016. He said all he had to do was “convince them to abandon morality in order to gain power.” He said this proudly. I think he still claims to be a Christian, but more than anyone else has completely reversed the popular definition of what that is, or should be.
Falwell made the endorsement speech (he was blackmailed with the pool boy pics, but did it eagerly enough). Reed crafted the campaign message. And 25% of Americans put on blindfolds and bent over. Now the whole system is shot.
it’s creepy. “Wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross.”

This point really bugs me. Donald Trump is the living embodiment of everything that Christianity rejects. Like, point by point he's the unrepentant antithesis of Jesus and his teaching. But Christians, by and large, just eat him up because... something something abortion? I don't get it at all.

70% of Americans have had at least one vax shot. Align that with your above posit.

We all have state ID cards already (driver's license). Some of us have passports and passcards. And some of us have additional state documents for other things we are qualified for.

Like or not, we're there already I'll tell you and my fellow citizens that you continue to slander.

Your fellow citizens are authoritarians who are leading America towards a fascist state. I'll continue to "slander" them all I want. Not my fault you are too vain to see that your side are the bad guys in this movie.

They aren't Americans anymore. They're just Republicans.

As to IDs, we need a federal ID to circumvent the crimes of red state governments, and we need federal election standards for the same reason.

Then you agree with me that we should drop all the nonsense about voter ID, which was just a fig leaf for Republican disenfranchisement?

Good.

No, we are not. The free part is not there. You have to pay for a driver's license, and you have to pay for a passport.

When we get to the free approved ID part, then get back with the board.

Then we have to make sure that every single person who wants to vote has that card, for free. And it has to be easy to get, just like registering to vote. Not standing in line at the SOS when you don't have time to because of a thousand reasons.

My expectations for such a "free ID" is quite low, though- as I'm sure people like you and others in the Racist party will find "reasons' why people should not get a card or ID.

No you get vitriol because you are a troll and you "just ask questions" and then disappear when people question you. No one thinks you have any interest in an honest discussion, your concern troll game has been weak since 2016.

Don’t you want all biznesses to have the right to decide?

have yet to have one single instance of needing to show my vax card

Uh huh...how about all those people on the reservations in your state who don't have proper addresses that you and your ilk tried to prevent from voting?

I love you guys...you tell everyone not to trust the government, you cut funding to every fucking service possible (especially for people who live in places you find less desirable) and then throw up your hands and wonder why people can't get what they need. (and are the first with your hand out when things go wrong i.e. it affects you and not them) You bitch about voter ids but do nothing to help others get them ("I have mine so fuck off!") and then restrict the vote because hey if you can do it anyone can amirite?

Slander? If anything Kepler is being kind.

Well lets see...vax cards tell us who is healthy. Vaccines are free and available to everyone over 16. They have no barrier due to cost and are easily obtainable at hundreds of locations all across various cities and states including Wal-Marts, CVS, Walgreens, Doctors Offices...etc. They also, you know, HELP FUCKING PROTECT PEOPLE!!1! They allow for the opening of schools and businesses without another outbreak. You would think by now you would get that after your side of the aisle screwed that up last year and killed half a million people (well the ones Cuomo didn't help kill but I digress) but hey...no one ever accused conservatives of thinking these days. And funny...plenty of vaccines are already required for various things (MMR for school, tetanus...etc.) why do you all of a sudden care about it for COVID? I mean we all know why but we want you to admit it.

On the other hand state ids cost money and require you to take time out of your day to go get one. (some states let you renew online) In many states, the poor dont have the means to get to the limited places that might exist and since they aren't driving it just might not be worth the hassle of wrangling up a ride, riding a bus for god knows how long or paying for a taxi/uber.

When you and your ilk allow for State IDs to be as easy to obtain as a vax card you will have a point. Otherwise you are just making another in your long line of logical fallacies. I will admit though you are doing a better job of not pretending you don't think for yourself. I applaud realism so keep it up by 2024 there won't be much pretense left and we will take your seriously. Not your beliefs mind you, but just that you are being forthright and honest.

No they only have that right when it is something they agree with. Don't want to make a cake for the Gayz!!1!1 that is fine. Want to require masks or vaccines...HOW DARE DEY INFRING ON MUH RIGHTS11!1!1!1

I answered for them since we know they won't answer ;^)

It's not "mandatory". You could sit in your home without it. You could walk your block without it. You will only need it to engage in various activities where others want to make sure they are keeping themselves safe, also like we live in some sort of functional society. These are the same business we have been told should be able to choose who they serve and no one on the other side seemed to have an issue when it for because of the gays. Or they are government buildings or airports where no one had an issue with multiple layers of security when it was the Muslims. But don't worry, I'm sure all the true bootstrap individualists don't need any of those other places, they rely only on themselves.

Because it's a disingenuous point that ignores what led to that decision. Most curious how you ignore that part of it.

Narrator: It isn't curious because you aren't acting in good faith.

I'm ok with this as long as there is effectively no effort or cost needed by the voter. Including the homeless.

In other words: no, not possible. Not unless you want to spend hundreds or thousands per eligible voter.

Can you point to any election decided by ineligible voters?
