The law has no teeth anyways. The best was his announcement referencing how Twitter bans Trump but lets Ayatollah Khomeni post...Khomeni has been dead since before the fall of the Berlin Wall. I had a lot of fun on Twitter with that one :^)

So I've been playing GTA V a bunch lately, and it's really struck me that the 2013-released game's hilarious caricature of right-wing radio is virtually indecipherable from the GQP of 2021.

Yeah I finished that game a few months ago and good lord the Rush knockoff is almost pitch perfect as is the news updates that are meant to make people angry. Funny...yet sad.

There is some underlying protection they're fighting off that could probably have major implications to other potential cases down the line.

Edit: nope. Sounds like the WH didn't know about it and has kept their nose out of the daily life in the DOJ.

I think the idea is (1) we have returned to the state of normalcy in which the administration does not fuck with the justice department for political purposes, unlike the Nazis, and (2) the DOJ wants to maintain a precedent of protecting politicals in order to prevent partisan attacks on officials, even in this case when the official being prosecuted is an obviously guilty piece of Nazi garbage.
