Ummm, what reputation would that be?

I grew up reading NYT and even five years ago I would have laughed at this.

Now? Honestly... I'm not sure the Gray Lady didn't jump the shark the day she allowed color photos.

It may be the Times was always full of Limousine Liberal hypocrisy. It didn't feel like it growing up but hey I'm sure Mormons didn't feel racist growing up. Crossing the Singularity (a.k.a, the Delaware River) provides some perspective, and it sho' nuff seems like the Times was always the paper of people who donate to Black Lives Matter and put their kid in private kindergarten.

That seems bad. My first thought was, “Was Esper given an order he refused to follow? Before or *gulp* after the election?”

I am pretty sure he was resigning anyways. I swear on Wednesday it was going around Twitter (media not Rubes) he had written his letter of resignation and was set to turn it in. I was going to post here which is the only reason I remember it.

edit: The Hill Mentions It Here

Esper has long been seen as out-the-door regardless of who wins the election, including the possibility that he would resign during the transition period if Trump loses.

Yes they do...Mattis got one when they named him.

In other news if the WH finds out you are looking for a future job they are now going to fire you on the spot. They arent petty though...

Trump demanded an unattainable level of loyalty from Fox News. His reelection campaign at one point asked for a bulk discount advertising deal. Fox said no, noting that everyone has to pay the same rates, leaving Trump extremely unhappy with Fox.

edit:

Trump has also maintained the unswerving support of other Fox opinion hosts, including Laura Ingraham and Jeanine Pirro, both of whom were at the election-night party in the White House’s chandeliered East Room. Fox was on the big-screen TVs as Trump won the key state of Florida, and the room filled with increasing optimism that Trump had again defied the polls.

Until 11:20 p.m., when Fox News called Arizona for Biden with 73 percent of the expected vote counted — a “screeching of tires” that brought the party to a halt, said one official present.

This account is based on interviews with 11 current and former Fox News and Trump officials, all of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive dynamics between Fox News and Trumpworld.

Trump erupted in anger, telling others in the White House to “get that result changed,” a senior administration official said. His chief of staff, Mark Meadows, phoned Fox News’s decision desk repeatedly. Top aide Hope Hicks, who had returned to the White House earlier this year after a stint at Fox Corp., messaged Raj Shah, a former Trump White House staffer whom she hired at Fox, about how to get the call reversed. Kellyanne Conway got in touch with Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier to complain. Jared Kushner reached out to Fox Corp.’s billionaire owner, Rupert Murdoch.

But even as White House officials vowed to Fox executives that they had data from Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) demonstrating that Trump could still win, and as all the other major networks continued to hold off on a call, Fox decision-desk chief Arnon Mishkin remained unmoved. Stick with us, he and his deputies told the anchors. We’ll be right. And that was the path Fox News chose.

Night of the Long Knives continues.

For more than five years, Kuperberg directed that office, including through the release of the fourth edition of the congressionally-mandated report, which detailed the potentially dire economic and health consequences for Americans should the country take little to no action to cut emissions and prepare for climate change’s effects, such as sea level rise, droughts and hotter, longer-lasting heat waves.

The report, produced by federal and outside scientists, angered the Trump White House, since President Trump has consistently downplayed the seriousness of the climate threat and the scientific consensus that human activities are playing the dominant role in warming the planet.

Kuperberg’s removal was confirmed by a current federal official and a former White House official, both of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the matter. It was also confirmed by Don Wuebbles, a climate scientist at the University of Illinois who was director of the Fourth National Climate Assessment and a friend of Kuperberg’s.

If you are a political you have to submit your resignation. You do not have a choice.
