Oh yeah...if he cant handle Leslie Stahl asking him basic questions or Savannah Miller holding his feet to the fire tonight is going to be like the 4th of July. I mean he has no policy to discuss and no positives to tout so it is going to be anger and whining. Biden should literally not say a word because Trump Trolling is going to be the only thing he has.
 
I have wondered so many times over the last 3-4 years how trump's popularity and approval have remained so steady. Nixon received almost 2/3rds of the popular vote in 1972 and the week he left office in 1974 his approval rating was 24%.

Less than a year after that landslide election and for the rest of his presidency from the fall of 1973 until he left office, more people thought he should be removed than approved of him. And Nixon was on many days presidential. He had accomplishments.

He presided over the creation of both the OSHA and the EPA. The draft ended while he was in office. He did (eventually) greatly wind down the Viet Nam war. 12000 Americans were killed there the year he first took office (1969) and by the year of his reelection it was fewer than 800. In 1973 and 1974 combined it was fewer than 100. He pushed for normal relations with "Red" China, which was of great importance.

I don't note any of those things as some way of illustrating he belongs on Mt. Rusmore, just that he actually had accomplishments that meant something good for most Americans. And these things worked! Our air and water DID get cleaner. Our workplaces DID get safer. No longer would Americans be sent against their will to fight and die in idiotic wars.

trump on the other hand has done one thing in all the years he has been president, and that was to sign into law some modest federal sentencing reforms for some non-violent offenders. Yes, it is good to let these people out of prison, not going to argue that. But that is it. One thing. Everything else, literally everything else he has done, has been negative. Yet those same 41% of Americans approve of him. In the name of all reason, WHY?

The second Sam Elliot commercial speaks to it a little bit. People, just admit you were fvcking wrong about trump. But therein lies the problem. Half this country has become unable to admit even the smallest mistake, and believe me, voting for trump is not just a little boo-boo. You have put this country on a path to utter and complete destruction. Admit it, and either stay home this time or vote to correct that mistake. For fvck's sake it is a secret go d d amn ballot. No one will even know.

It is amazing that he puts this up gleefully thinking he looks good. He is acting like a smirking, whiney adolescent caught in a lie and thinking he's bluffing his way out. He just doesn't register that he looks foolish and juvenile.

His morons actually respond to this as leadership. The con cake is rotten all the way to the core. These are the kind of people who think footbaw coaches are profound and evangelists are godly.

Yeah, and after the first debate you have to figure his prep team threw up their hands and didn't even half-a55 an effort to prep him for this one, knowing he's just going to holler whatever he feels like anyway.

Alpha/beta male theory has been rejected by the guy who proposed it. Just further proof of how rabidly stupid incels are.

If you don't have a decent career and/or you aren't getting laid, it's probably not because you aren't being an abusive bully. Try wearing some deodorant, quit playing video games, learn a useful skill, see a therapist instead of expecting your date to be your doctor, and get a d@mn haircut.

Watching the footage Dump is releasing showing how "rudely" he is treated, it feels just like the Savannah Guthrie situation: every woman in America is watching this turd talk down to and interrupt an accomplished woman and thinking, "that's every flop-sweat clod who has ever harassed me."

Except for a handful of brain-damaged bovine Baptist bucolic babymakers, all women are going to shiv that POS for personal reasons.

Hoping to see Biden put a pin in Trump’s puffed-up economic achievements while also highlighting his serial dishonesty. When Trump repeats his “greatest economy in US history” claim, Biden should first reference Stahl’s pushback on that claim and then point out that the annual GDP increases under Trump were very similar to those during Obama’s final 6 years. And significantly lower than in earlier presidencies. Conclude with “Repeating a false claim again and again makes it memorable—but it doesn’t make it true.”

Another balloon-buster:
In January even before the pandemic hit, the U.S. manufacturing index had hit a ten-year low and was heading to recession. But just yesterday Trump was boasting about plant openings that haven’t happened.
 
Normally I would agree but at this point that is worthless. No one who thinks his economy was great is going to change their mind because Biden points out facts. And in truth Trump is saying stuff like that so he gets pushback and he can use it later.

This debate has zero to do with policy...it (like all the rest and the town halls) is about showing who is presidential and who is not. Biden won more people over laughing at Trump and showing humanity for his son than he did with anything else said about policy in the first debate. That had the added effect of putting Trump on tilt because he cant stand when people dont worship him especially when they ignore him. Dont feed the beast...

That is why I dont get why Stahl even interviewed him. He admitted in 2016 when she interviewed him he attacks the press because it de-legitimizes them in the eyes of his voters so when they criticize him no one trusts him. All she did by doing this interview (which I know 60 minutes does a lot but wasnt needed here) was give him everything he wanted. If his "Yes Men" could have an independent thought this would have been gangbusters for him. (relatively speaking) They let him walk out of the interview though and then post clips of it which is completely backfiring. They think they are controlling the narrative...oops.

Somebody on the squawk radio made a good point yesterday: they'll cut the mics but Biden will still be able to hear Dump. So we will see Joe trying to talk while the Howler Monkey screams and throws its poop, and it's going to be disorienting for him and for us. Joe could potentially look very weird trying to talk and also half listening to the DERP VOMIT at the same time.

If I were he I would have insisted Dump be placed in a glass booth. Air tight if possible (wouldn't matter; that family metabolizes their own farts).
