I don’t recall her doing a lot of stupid moves so I’m hoping there’s more to it
 
She has been particularly cautious about that kind of move in the past. Have to think they are trying to force a hand or see some other predictable political value.

There isnt. The legislation wont even pass in time for the election let alone fast enough to do anything about Trump. Congress is not in legislative session. This is a worthless move that does more to help Trump legitimize his "The Democrats are trying to steal it" crap than it will make him look unfit.

There is no need for this move...Trump makes himself unfit every time he goes off. Now you are giving the other side a counter attack for no reason.

If she wants more info on his COVID issues that is one thing...but mentioning invoking the 25th is ridiculous. That is for anonymous clowns like us to do not for the SOTH one month before the election. Once more, she basically acknowledges this at her PC. This is about the future...so wait til after the election to do it.
 
My wife and I were just talking about this. She got to watch the presser, I didn't see it. My take is that literally no one knows what she's doing here but her and a couple trusted cohorts. We don't know if this is a move at a needed structural change, trolling Trump, actually making a move because he's incompetent, using it as a delay tactic for the ACB proceedings. We have absolutely no idea. Like DGF said, she doesn't make many stupid moves. I honestly can't think of one off the top of my head.

Hearing the press trying to explain what she's doing is hilarious. They have no fucking clue.
 
There is no move to make over his incompetence. Congress can't force the issue as of now. (it has to be referred to them) The legislation she is touting wont even be voted on most likely and will never pass with the current make up of Congress. There is no there there.

The idea itself has a ton of merit because the Legislative Branch should have the ability to look into it (even though it will be abused to high heaven at some point) but for this specific case she is out to lunch. Her quote about how Trump will face the voters proves she knows this wont go anywhere before this election. This is a structural change for the future and she is using it as a way to take a jab at the President that is unneeded.

In other news: Trump is taking a medical exam on Tucker's show...wtf?

He is doing that on his own. This is unneeded. This is like the coach faking a fg up 20 in the 3rd quarter to try and run up score. You gain nothing but risk an unforced error screwing things up.

Just stay out of the way...the guy is hanging himself by the hour.

And ask Hillary if optics matter. Ask Al Franken. Ask any number of Dems who get in trouble over optics if they don't think they are real.

Ok I am not denying that she is...but again her legislation will not pass. Even if they pull everyone back into Legislative Session (which they wont) it wont pass before November 3rd. So unless her plan is to pass it in the Lame Duck and screw Trump over until the Inauguration there is no endgame to this. The only way it works is if the GOP is on board...which I think we all know isnt the case.

You guys are putting way too much into what was announced. This is her direct quote:

Now maybe she is sandbagging...but I doubt it. One of the reasons I like her and got into arguments with Trixie about why she should be Speaker is she knows the ins and outs. She knows, better than anyone, this is a bridge to nowhere. (for now) The overall idea is an A+ but she didnt announce it now because they are planning to "25" Covita. There is no Bipartisan group (in concert with Pence on top of it) who is going to declare Trump unfit at this point...even to save their fledgling chances.

There is no way Nancy is going to waste time trying to get this passed. Even if the House passes it tomorrow the Senate wont even pretend to look at it until after the Supreme Court BS and then it will sit in the pile with all of the other things Mitch refuses to bring to the floor. It is dead until the new Congress is sworn in and IF the Dems take back the Senate then it will pass. Trump will never have to ever even deal with it. What he does get though is a bit more ammunition to say "see they are trying to steal it all away from me".

This is starting to remind me of when everyone around here was telling us Mueller was going to take Trump down...you are pinning your hopes on a fantasy that doesn't exist in this actual reality. If you want Trump 25thed...you better get Pence and the Cabinet to go after him because no commission from this Legislation is going to be able to do it any time soon.

Trump couldnt even wait 12 hours to ruin what was a not horrid performance in the VP debates. (relatively speaking...he obviously still sucked) He is now calling Faux daily and going off on unhinged rants without anyone even talking about him. He is calling for everyone from Hillary Clinton to "Shoeless" Joe Jackson to be investigated and charged. The man's ego is literally choking him. I love when Nancy trolls him...hell I love when ANYONE trolls him...this just doesn't smell right and it gained nothing at all because he is saying all the stuff he would be saying anyways.

This wont hurt Biden in any way because there is so little time left and well, Trump is unhinged. But I just dont like chirping until the clock strikes zero.

Candace Owens...she of the "Hitler Was Fine Til He Went Global" comments...is a featured speaker at Covita's Event today. That is one way to try and not seem like a fascist I guess..
