Not to defend the ridiculousness that was the EMAILZ!!! outrage during the election, but the type of information that can be obtained hacking the Secretary of State's email vs. the Governor of Indiana's are world's apart. I do get the irony of it, but it's still a false equivalency.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. And, as has been reported a thousand times. 99.9% of the sensitive information that Mrs. Clinton handled was done with physical paper and not over email. She had a couple of emails on her server that were found with "C"'s for confidential. Not a single email was marked Top Secret.

I guarantee that if they had found anything resembling TOP SECRET on that server she would have suffered the same fate as Petraeus.

To a degree, you are correct.

But one also has to measure the risk of a personal e-mail server that all but a handful of e-mails were actually personal. So the question is- the difference between the risked non-personal e-mails vs. the AOL account.

Not exactly SoS vs. Governor.

And, like Scooby alluded to- the lack of reaction of a very similar situation. Can't exactly take the moral high ground when you don't even come close to applying it to yourself.

Agreed. But, they're still not the same thing.

As a reward to the loyal voters of Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania that delivered him the election, Trump's proposed budget cuts the amount of money spent on Great Lakes pollution clean-up from $300M to $10M.

Lead does a body good.

And we don't need no stinking fish. More algae blooms!

True, MNS, but they never explained why it was a crime for HC to do it but not for Colin Powell. Unless I'm mistaken, he used a private server as well.

My understanding of HER EMAILZ!!! was that her behavior as SOS was an indicator of her future behavior as POTUS. The main line of attack was that her supposed sins indicated a character that was too dangerous for a president. That allowed her accusers to sidestep the inconvenience that her "crimes" harmed no one and exposed no critical information to bad actors.

So for anyone who bought into HER EMAILZ!!!, it is not a false equivalency. By their own argument, Pence is unfit for office because this indicates he is both reckless and dishonest.

So why lie about it? Over and over and over.

You only assume it's a lie because of your preconceived notion that he's guilty. It's just like a person who is accused of rape. They're guilty until proved innocent, and when proved innocent, they "got away with it".

Interesting argument for them to take given everything we knew about Trump's character leading up to the election. As much as I had to hold my nose to vote for her, I'd have had to sell my soul to vote for Trump.

Which part of Trump denying any contact with Russia by anyone in his campaign, and now multiple people in his campaign admitting contact with Russia, leaves you room to say it wasn't a lie?
