Swalwell is up. He's good. I don't like him necessarily as President, but I think he's a very effective congressman. Maybe someday a senator.

He is destroying the argument that this is biased because there is zero evidence the Whistleblower has any known political affiliation and that the IG was a Trump appointee so he also has zero bias against Trump. Schiff is using his questions to show exactly how all this works...how the DOJ is corrupt and how the rules seem to not apply to the President because of how it is all set up. Now he is trying to get the acting DNI to admit this should be investigated.

edit: Maguire is doing everything he can to avoid saying it. Schiff is destroying him.

Be careful. There are several people who aren't morons on that channel. Kepler said it best,

If it was Smerconish, he's been so intentionally weaselly on this, he's actually asked whether the investigation on Biden has been conducted yet. Essentially implying Trump has an out if there was a there there. Which is absurd. This is a President who is abusing powers of the office of the presidency to unduly influence an American election to his favor. Trump broke the law concerning how information is classified. Trump covered this up. And yet, all Smerconish cared about was that he remains "neutral".

Smerconish spends more time preening his "centrist" feathers than caring about the incredibly serious crimes the PRESIDENT has committed..


I think anything from Smerconish to Abrams is basically CNN. Abrams so far hasn't been a complete d-ckhead. But all three, Smerconish, Cuomo, and Abrams spend waaaaay too much time informing their listeners that they get attacked from the left AND *gasp* the right. It's hard to take anyone seriously who spends that much time looking in the mirror.

If you want an incredible show, listen to Olivier Knox. He is CSPAN and NPR done right. Julie Mason is pretty good if you remember she's a very proud journalist. She's snarky in all the right ways. The other best show on that channel died with Steele and Ungar.

The problem is that after the Watergate burglars were caught there was a risk of everything being made public. The irony is that if they'd just handled it like a normal case of burglary the Post would never have bothered and there would have been nothing to investigate.

In this case, you have the soon-to-be ex-president breaking the law, ordering others to also break the law AND cover it all up. I understand the Senate Republicans are willing to put up with almost anything, but how many of them would really have a problem with a President Pence administration? As long as they hold the senate in 2020 it doesn't matter who the president is.
