The witness doesn't really want to answer the questions.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

They covered this up immediately. There was an immediate recognition this could be impeachable.

White House lawyers tried to scrub the phone call and transcripts from the record. They tried to classify it despite it not having classified info.

They covered it up.

Exactly. Like Watergate, even if you can get away with the crime, it's the cover up that gets you.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

What the **** is Nunes doing??!

He's going to the leak well. That's their thing. The leak of this information was illegal and thus Obama did it too, it just didn't leak. It's the transitive property. And he just said it. He's not aware of the content of these calls getting out.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

HOly ****. Directly from the whistleblower report:

fFS According to multiple White House officials I spoke with, the transcript of the President's call with President Zelenskyy was placed into a computer system managed directly by the National Security Council (NSC) Directorate for Intelligence Programs. This is a standalone computer system reserved for codeword-level intelligence information , such as covert action. According to information I received from White House officials, some officials voiced concerns internally that this would be an abuse of the system and was not consistent with the responsibilities of the Directorate for Intelligence Programs. According to White House officials I spoke with, this was "not the first time" under this Administration that a Presidential transcript was placed into this codeword-level system solely for the purpose of protecting politically sensitive-rather than national security sensitive-information.

This is so bad...

Whistleblower Complaint

Almost like using a private server?

Here we go

BREAKING: The whistleblower complaint at the center of a brewing controversy involving President Trump reportedly accuses White House officials of moving records on some of Trump's contacts with foreign officials, including Trump's call with the Ukrainian president, onto a separate computer network as part of a pattern of obfuscation.

But her emailz!!!

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

HOly ****. Directly from the whistleblower report

That is so bad there is actually explicit direction in the USG Classification Guide saying don't do it. There is also language that states that classifying something in order to avoid embarrassment to the USG is a serious security violation.

We actually have rules and laws about this stuff. It's not just a crime against the spirit of INFOSEC, it's a literal crime against statute. As in the guys who did this could go to jail.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

It appears that whatever statutes we have regarding Executive Privilege need to be changed.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

It also appears that the whistleblower law needs to be clarified so this never happens again.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

Swalwell is up. He's good. I don't like him necessarily as President, but I think he's a very effective congressman. Maybe someday a senator.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

Exactly. Like Watergate, even if you can get away with the crime, it's the cover up that gets you.

Isn't this different though because Chump both committed the initial crime AND put the coverup in motion? I don't recall if Nixon himself personally ordered the bugging of the DNC headquarters but I don't think he did.

Re: POTUS 45.58: Admit it, those lights are making you look orange too.

Keep it up, NYT.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">No, the New York Times did not talk to six “swing voters” about impeachment. The article quotes a handful of devout GOP voters who the NYT has repeatedly interviewed multiple times. A thread.... <a href="https://t.co/QYKCWB9V5I">https://t.co/QYKCWB9V5I</a></p>— Matt McDermott (@mattmfm) <a href="https://twitter.com/mattmfm/status/1177175443335766016?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 26, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

The New York Times sold out. The only people that defend it do so because of what it used to be because what it is now is CNN. Difference being they suck at it.

It also appears that the whistleblower law needs to be clarified so this never happens again.

And the DNI needs to be able to go to an independent council when issues like this arise. Maguire having to go to the President and the DOJ when THEY are the ones who committed the crime is ridiculous.

Also Schiff is killing this. Intelligence Committee >>>>> Judicial Committee
