Left and right do exist. The fact that they are misused for cynical manipulation doesn't change that. Just like words still have meanings even though Dump uses them however he wants.
Now, left and right may be finally losing their relevance, which after a 200-year run isn't surprising. We may be moving on to a different political division -- one that's purely tribal and visceral and to do with culture rather than economics or theories of governmental power. The ethno-states of the early 20th C were like that already so maybe the First World just needed some time to catch up.
I don't see any uniting factor of the current quote "right" other than who they hate: liberals, immigrants, intellectuals, religious minorities, feminists. They are a coalition of resentment -- you even see it here where there's at least some attempt to dress it in ideology. The "left" still seems to have some unifying principles but more and more we are becoming a coalition of self-defense against the knife-wielders coming at our throats.
political ideology is about getting people behind you. it is about getting control and leading (or dictating. six, or 1/2 dozen).
like chicoms aren't coms. they are just major shareholders in a capitalist system over which they fill the vacuum and sit as dictators.. sorta like tD will be for the next dozen odd years, except of course he doesn't OWN, he just acts like he does

Current political leanings, which now replace right and left. You may refer to people as either Nazis (formerly known as Republicans and conservatives) or anti-Nazi's (everybody to the left of Chump and the treasonous money laundering cult previously known as Republicans). We need to run on it. Our more aggressive people (Warren, Sanders) will and Harris is smart enough to pivot to it and exploit it. But is Beto or Klobuchar gonna run on it hard? Gillibrand or Biden?
Health care is related closely to the class war and the Dems who are listening to the DNC aren't showing strongly on that -- they are regressing back to the Clintonian weak sauce that cost us 2016.

If I'm not mistaken, this was precisely the reason Flood was brought on as counsel, to delay and obstruct, and to fight any attempts to get information from the WH, after Ty Cobb and the previous bunch thought cooperation was the best tactic to take.
