Re: POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

Yes, that's what it's for. He infuses the economy with a horrible misplaced tax cut that does nothing so now he wants to use Recession financial tactics to boost his "greatest" economy ever. The man is a complete moron.

He doesn't care about anything after 2020. All his financial moves to try to boost economy short term with no f's given long term. If it does falter this year, he will either claim the data is wrong or start a war.

Re: POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

Government has always been about long term results (create national parks, Louisiana purchase, The New Deal).

Conservative radio and TV since the 90's have turned it into a "what have you done for me lately" short term results (big Gov intruding on profits).

Ironically usually said by people educated by things like the GI Bill or Social Security survivors benefits.

The economy was steaming along until the Democrats got elected in the House.

Oh, you mean, sorta like Wall Street and big business.

Re: POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

That he's not really a billionaire, and that he's made most of his money since the 90s doing business with Russian banks/mobsters.

That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it!

Doing business with, or laundering their money?

There's a difference.

Are all rich white people effin' stupid, or just the ones who run for president?

If it was a snake it'd bit me. Dump isn't gonna ignore the dictator move so obvious even Saddam Hussein did it.

Bernie is a disaster how?

This guy must be smart. He's a billionaire. Why say something so ****ing stupid?

Re: POTUS 45:51 - Who is Your Daddy and What Does He do?

Bernie would be a disaster. Less so than Trump, a hell of a lot less so, but it wouldn’t be great. That dinosaur doesn’t belong anywhere near the White House. How many bills has he authored that we’re passed into law? Where are his foreign policy credentials? What leadership roles has he assumed in Congress?

He’s not presidential material. He’s just not.

Schulz would have to give up some of his coffee money, so of course it would be a disaster for him.

It's not the Bernie part. It's about how in the video, he blames income inequality on Democrats and republicans not being able to work together to do what's best for Americans.

When challenged that there's income inequality throughout the world, where there aren't Democrats and Republicans, he can't answer as to why, and is reduced to repeating himself and saying "leadership" a lot.

And that's exactly it. "Democrats and Republicans need to work together, but raising taxes on people like me is a non-starter"

He even talks about how is spending more than we bring in a good thing. Well, yeah, sometimes it is. How about we bring in more than we spend?

Exactly. It was so cringey. Velshi isn’t a dumb talking head. He and Rhule have their moments. This was definitely one of them.

I don’t know if all that is very important. It might be okay if the presidency lost some policy-crafting power and returned somewhat to being inspirational with the pretty words and shaking hands of the commoners. I think presidents should spend more time golfing and let specialists do the hard stuff. Beto, for example, or Mayor Pete might be just the dude (although the latter would seem to lean toward an Obama level of nuts & bolts if someone doesn’t keep an eye on him)
