I don't see how the senate ever goes blue again. So the pattern will simply be Stall, Stall, Destroy, Destroy, Stall, Stall, etc...

This is exactly what I fear. At the state (Minnesota) and Federal Levels.

I'm not sure why you would fear that at the state level. Had the senate been contested this past cycle, we would surely would have had Dems controlling that body as well.

If you mean the US Senate of course it will go blue again someday. During the midterms 538 posited that the Dems need to win about 55% of the national vote -- a 10-point advantage -- to get to 50% in the Senate. Difficult, certainly, and grossly unfair, but doable. And as the Dems win particular bodies at the federal and state level we undo Jim Crow II and other villainy, thus restoring democratic representation. The eventual solution, of course, is federal court control and the prohibition of these measures in the same way we did it with the 24th Amendment. The identification of campaign contributions as bribery rather than protected speech is another obvious step towards a more perfect Union.

We are facing the same forces that we always have: bigots among the Groundlings and Plutes in the luxury boxes. We can rein them in again. What else is American political history than the fight of good people against those two groups, with an unending cycle of victories and defeats? The bad guys have won so often for so long they think they are actually entitled to their spoils. They are fat, stupid, and out of touch. That always happens with rentier classes, and the correction is inevitable. It only remains to be seen if it will be by the ballot or bullet.

Washington’s Center for Strategic and International Studies said the images, snapped last week, show new railcars near the site's uranium enrichment and radiochemistry labs, indicating the movement of radioactive material. “In the past these specialized railcars appear to have been associated with the movement of radioactive material or reprocessing campaigns,” the report said. “The current activity, along with their configurations, does not rule out their possible involvement in such activity, either before or after a reprocessing campaign.”
