These are just lines in a reality TV show to him. Other than ratings they may generate, their truth or falsity hold no value to him, only to the suckers who watch the show.

Given the "America First" story AND the telling of our allies that we want them to pay more of the bill- (NATO, Japan, S Korea, etc)- can someone explain WHY we need a bigger military when we are telling others to have a bigger one? don has already told everyone that we are not going to be the world's police anymore.

This is a very confusing statement that his followers just eat up- just building more things to kill people.

Since, in International Law, there is no "to the victor goes the spoils" the only angle is humanitarian. The Middle East is so screwed up right now even righteous humanitarian efforts end up worthless, pointless, or a mess.

Not sure what "winning" means is my point.

Look, I get the issues the Dems face. There may be more passion on the left but if they're going to pick up their ball and go home before election day if they don't get 100% of what they want they've rendered themselves useless. Anybody with a toddler (or 2) knows that if you keep giving into tantrums your problems are only going to get worse. :eek: Likewise, while the temptation may be to just give them what they want and call it a day, the less vocal but perhaps more reliable Dem moderates might bail if lefty proposals like "3 generations following anybody who worked for a bank get sent to a gulag" make it into the party platform.

Its a balancing act. Fear over Trump might unite everyone next go-around, but follow the Gooper lead, where people become absolutists AFTER they win the election, not before. :D

The senator, Janet Nguyen, had stood up to criticize Tom Hayden, the 1960s radical, over his opposition to the Vietnam War. Days earlier, Mr. Hayden had been honored in the Capitol for his service in the Legislature. He died in October.

Eventually even stupid people get their just deserts.

The same poor dumb f-cks who voted for this are the ones who will be poisoning their children. it won't be the shareholders or the company execs, that's for sure.

Conservatives can get their followers to hurt themselves in almost unimaginable ways as long as they appeal to their rancor and spite. Be proud, GOP.
