If this ****er doesn't end up in jail I am going to be extremely disappointed.
I'm sure most of these guys would prefer that trump have stroke and just fade away to one of his hotels in Florida, but they will defend til they die the party that has already built its own financial and cultural walls to keep out the unwealthy.
One of the interesting things is how trump, his base, and his supporters on the hill are willing to double down on stupid. Gives all this a real rabbit hole effect. It seems different from the customary political hyperbole we are all used to. This is just a blind hunch, but maybe it is partly due to the way we access and consume information online. Anybody can put information and opinion out there, and a lot of it is half-baked, false, or a hollow attempt to sell something, including the mere act of clicking on it. The confirmation biases we all have are even more deadly when it is so easy to question the veracity of the other view.
