Re: POTUS 45:47: I Never Said There Was No Collusion!

Sigh.

“BREAKING: The White House is reportedly drafting an emergency declaration order for President Trump to use to secure funding for his proposed border wall with Mexico.”

You know why Mitch will fight this? Because the public health emergency that requires single payer is waiting in line for the same ride at Disneyland.

That’s the silver lining. Health care guns and climate Emergrncies.

Oh.

😬

Re: POTUS 45:47: I Never Said There Was No Collusion!

And therein lies the problem.

I don't want to see $5 spent on a border wall, much less $5 billion. Undoubtedly Pelosi and the Dems are extracting a great deal of joy out of torturing Trump politically, and I'm sure if the shoe were on the other foot the Republicans would probably be doing the same. That's the problem. People would much rather achieve political gain than any sort of resolution.

I don't think giving in to Trump on the wall is a solution, but if someone really wants to try to find a different solution with him it can probably be done.

This is literally the most obtuse and idiotic take I’ve read on the shutdown this side of the White House’s moat.

Are you really this dense?

Re: POTUS 45:47: I Never Said There Was No Collusion!

Both sides are being babies about it now. Trump started it (to continue the point of my post) and the Dems are continuing it. Shutting down the proposals, okay, makes sense, to do otherwise is just giving in, which would be BS. The SOTU? Meh, kinda petty. It's proper and legal and all that, let him have his limelight to spew more BS, and show you're the better person. Let him win the battle, so you can win the war, you know? Choose the points in this storyline where you really come down hard.

Wrong.

Let him do SOTU. He's just talking. He's gonna bury himself more.

Congress is a co-equal branch of government. They can say no. We just haven't seen it in 2 years.

Trump is scared of Pelosi, as evidenced by his not giving her a nickname and backing down on the SOTU. Good.

I think of "follow" as stronger than "peruse." I peruse the knucks here. I don't follow them.

But I appreciate the attempted save. Thank you.

John Cusack and Judd Apatow (both hardcore Libs who want Trump impeached) quote his tweets all the time along with every other nutbar Conservative. Unless they are out there "liking" tweets it is tough to tell why they are following certain people.

That doesnt mean Mike Judge isnt a crazy nutjob mind you...just doesnt mean he is one either :)

Re: POTUS 45:47: I Never Said There Was No Collusion!

The guy who's done zero reading on the issue and knows none of the facts and always does his lame both sides schtick to get attn, thinks both sides are to blame.
Haven't the Dems already offered additional funding to improve border security, just not for a wall?
Yeah but both sides dude, the dems should just cave on this issue just because ya know!?

Why should he do the SOTU when there is a shutdown? He doesnt have a RIGHT to it he is invited to do it. He spit in the face of both parties (flat out stabbed the Senate GOP in the back) when he forced the GOP to abandon a bill that would have kept the Government open. He doesnt get to have his party if he misbehaves.

Plus, he has nothing of value to say. He will spend at least half of the speech race baiting and calling for a wall. The rest will be "praise be to me" and "boo hiss the Dems!!" with nothing else constructive to say. Normally I would say let him go but in this case he made his bed now he can choke on a McDonalds burger and fries in it.

There is zero incentive for the Dems to let him speak and I will back them 100% in telling him to get bent. He wanted a shutdown, he got it.

It is true...I dont know why but she scares the crap out of him. Maybe because she doesnt go over the top like Warren does or maybe because she knows exactly what to say to make him tear up like a Mean Girl...whatever it is though he fears her like he fears a pee tape. She has him on full tilt the same way he had the Libs on full tilt leading up to 2016.

Whoever runs against him needs to watch how she deals with him and dial it up to 11. Engage only til he annoys you and walk away. Give him no control, and when he lashes out insult him in a childish way, smile and move on. Be the sarcastic teenager to his whiny pre-teen.

Which is what he loves to do more than anything.

Deprive him of the things he desires. That's the only way the shutdown will affect him. Otherwise, he couldn't care how long people go without paychecks.

The media let him have his forum all through the campaign. Look where that got us.

Again, your username is most appropriate.

Yeah, all the times my grocery store has said, "Ahh, don't worry about it, pay us when you can".

Umm, hey, Red Don, things work a bit differently out here among the common folk.

How would it be childish for a parent to deny their kid a present when they are having a tantrum?

This is the president having a tantrum over something he could not get passed in congress that his party had a majority in. The money he's asking for, in a single bill, would have easily passed both houses, as it would not require 60 votes. But he could not.

And now he's holding government workers hostage because of his failure.

Somehow, D's not caving into that is being childish?

Worse, why can't you see the rather obvious part that if this works, the odds of him doing this again for a simple policy thing is incredibly high.

Dems are not continuing it- they are offering a 100% solution to the problem- open the government, and then we can talk policy, like it's supposed to be done. How is it that you can't see that?

Lest we forget, the "offer" that the administration offered was 100% BS, as he could not offer something that he has not actually shut down- DACA. The courts (including the SOCTUS) blocked his efforts to stop it. So that "deal" was not actually real, since DACA is back in and working.

And I'm 1000% sure that if Obama did this to fix the ACA in the manner you wanted, you and the rest of you "both siders" would have totally roasted him.
