Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

I truly believe Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama were all acting in good faith. Whether I liked their choices or how they turned out is irrelevant. However this new group of faux conservatives is truly looking only at short term gains for T.

It's amazing how many really good smart people are still giving him one more chance everyday.

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

Much of what Trump’s admin is is doing isn’t exactly new, the RepublicNs been doing a lot of this stuff for a while now and all the stuff they did over the last 40 years laid the ground work for this.

what senate is going to take that up and vote? :D
Not this one, unless Red Don is on board with it. Turtle Boy said so.

The Congress is not a separate and equal branch of government. They have to do what the president says. It's in the Constitution.

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

And, since the Rube fails to answer, they hate Warren due to the same Republican attack and smear and lie tactics that they used to portray Hillary as the villain for 30 years, and Pelosi for 15.

Now that I'm home from work, had dinner, and finally opened the internet and read back from last night, because I'm a hard-working American who can't really internet during the day, I like Warren for anything financial. I don't mind her demeanor at all. Utilize her strengths.

That being said, she doesn't have the charisma to be president, IMO.

Trump lawyers seeing if they can use DOD money to build wall, bypass House Dems

But wait, there's more!

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

Unless I skimmed past it....this whole "mother effer" thing....

1. The libs (not the official party, mind you, they took the high road) are saying that it's okay, because Trump said worse. I thought the libs were supposed to be better than that, and not stoop to that level

2. The righties clamoring about foul language after all that Trump has said....that's laughable.

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

Advocating impeachment with salty language is actually a fairly tame response to a president who put children in internment camps

It is, and privately I might say the same thing to a colleague. Actually, I would say the same thing privately to a colleague. But, to say that where it'll get out...gotta think of the image you're projecting.

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

Let's put it this way, I'm not a fan of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's policies and ideas without some major tweaking, but she handled criticism with a much more mature response (re: the dance video) and I flat out laughed my arse off at it. Classic response, and I applaud it. She rolled with it, rather than get vicious with it.

I agree, which is why when it comes to conservatives clutching their pearls about the f-bomb being used on Trump, here is my response:

But let's not even get into Trump's own history with so-called "vulgarities".

I'm sick and fcking tired of spineless Democrats, refusing to respond to vile and uncouth criticism. Trump has given you an opening - give it back for a change.

Now, when it comes to my 2019 resolution, well...let's just keep in mind that I will likely fail at it here and there, but I am only holding myself to that standard. Dem pols, AFAIC, are quite welcome to do/say anything which pushes back on Trump, that isn't illegal or violent. :)

In other words, as long as Trump is in office, civility is dead.

Respond in a more adult way that is just as vile. See: Winston Churchill. ;)

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

That's cute, we don't have an American Churchill. We're not Brits, dude, we're rebels!

Cortez is doing well in retorts. Wish she could come up with a detailed idea that would actually work.... ;)

Or

We're Americans! With a capital A! We've been kicked out of every decent country on earth!

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

Be better than the MAGAs. Every adult/mature retort that you can conjure up will sway the middletons. You aren't going to save the MAGAs. And the candidates that get vile? That will turn off the undecideds, etc. Don't resort to the MAGA's levels.

Sorry, but I don't care about "saving" the remaining MAGAts, especially when they have failed to save themselves where warranted. I also don't believe that Trump hasn't already lost most of the, as you say, "middletons". What has he done for them (especially the ones that are blue-collar workers)?

IMO, he's been so disgusting and failed to deliver, to the point that most undecideds who previously pulled the lever for him, are begging for a sane alternative.

Very possible. I think if Bernie or Warren to run...that could be trouble, though. And you have to think long-term. If calling the current pres (although deserved) a "motherf*er" is the new standard, which brings EVERYONE down to the same level that most are despising, then we are in serious long term trouble.

Someone has to stand up and be truly better and more adult than the rest.

Grab em by the pu$$y.

Maybe the undecideds are feeling that it's time to get vile.
