Christian Bale wins golden globe for playing Cheney. He thanked Satan for inspiring him and offered to play Mitch next.

Yeah, I saw it at halftime of the Michigan-Indiana game. That was a brutal commercial. Can't believe people actually fall for that crap.

No, no, no. I have been assured that those compiling the stats are not accurate because they are really just policy makers who have an interest in having open borders. I can assure you this will not put a dent in that narrative because it is verrrrry important that the facts be what tRump says is true. You have to be on some serious hallucinogens to be able to follow the convoluted string of contradicting lies but whatever hallucinogen it is, it has a realllllly long half life! And I am sure this guy has been compromised. That is why he is spewing those pesky facts.

I have heard "Vice" is excellent as a movie, but also have read (in the lib-slanted Mpls Star Tribune) that it is not exactly truthful, caters to the left.

That being said, I don't expect a true-to-the-fact movie, but is the movie within realism? I do want to see it, it looks like a great movie. I would like to know if I'm walking into some Lifetime/AMC/Hallmark warped movie, or am I walking into a standard bend-the-facts Hollywood movie?

Is it too much to hope for an "I, Tonya" type of movie about Cheney?

They fact checked President Trump and his administration on MSNBC this morning. Spent a lot of time on it. Assuming the President isn't lying the entire argument were having is impossible to resolve because no one is working from the same set of facts.

Pretty much par for the course. It's just like how we always have money for tax cuts and the military but we NEVER have any money for anything else. Was thinking about that again this morning while a conservative and a liberal argued about the New Green Deal that everyone is talking about and Republicans are calling "evil" socialism.

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

President Trump wants to address the nation about the government shutdown on Tuesday night, and later in the week plans to travel to the southern border as part of his effort to persuade Americans of the need for a border wall — the sticking point in negotiations with Democrats who are eager to reopen shuttered agencies.

So, will the stupid media cover it like lemmings? Will they fact check in real time like they should?

He's right. He is the most popular Republican President of all time.

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

But thanks largely to free-market forces, more coal-fired power plants have been deactivated in Trump's first two years in office then in Obama's entire first term. When asked about the President's claim to be the savior of coal, veteran miner and industry consultant Art Sullivan bristles.
"He's trying to get their votes," he says, standing by the fenced-off entrance to a mine not far from Mitchell where he once served as Face Boss, a coal industry term for managers. "He's lying to them."

Wow. They all got suckered. And THEY STILL support him. Lemmings have more free will.

I keep thinking of the guy that said we will see all these grabs for attention now there are people who are really trying to talk about things other than parroting what he says and everyone's reaction to what he said. Guy was spot on. Clearly no one is paying enough attention to the tweet storm so he has to escalate.

We could only hope. He still has his 35% locked up and the entire Republican Party with it. 2 more years of Republican rule to get through. Yes, the Dems have the House but they will be neutered by Turtle Boy and the Courts which are locked in. Courts for decades to come.

THis has nothing to do with any sort of progress or governing. He just doesn't like it when he is not the only center of attention. He's had an echo chamber for the last few yrs- he tweets something totally stupid. Initially there is intelligent response then all the GOP toe the line and there is incessant coverage of all the different permutations of what he might have said (buffet offering, he says enough things you can pick and chose) say, what did someone else say, etc. Kind of like a gossip mill in High School. Now there it doesn't matter if the GOP sheep toe the line. There are enough Dems to move things in the House so they are getting cov'g (it won't get anywhere but they still are covering it) and it isn't all about him. People are actually covering 2 sides. His poor little borderline personality, narcissistic self is not dealing well. If he is like most people with these personality disorders he will continue to escalate, no matter how illogical because he has a pathologic need for attn, even if it means self harm

Nope. Just a timeline of when we get competent government back. And priorities that make sense. In the two years of total control he managed to destroy the EPA, steal 1.5 trillion dollars, and lock up the Supreme Court for two generations.

That's not counting the little things that are more easily correctable.

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

They'll really put a clamp on the Court when he nominates Barrett to replace Ginsburg within the next few months.

Re: POTUS 45:46: New Year, Same 'Ol Crap.

Can he ever stop lying?
