I’m sure this would have been fine if Hill or Obama had done this, too.

He knew everything and he knew it as it happened or right after it happened. The difference between trump and Nixon is trump knows he won't be indicted and even if the House is misguided enough to impeach him, he will not come close to being convicted and removed from office.
