POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

Re: POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

He's either going to look impotent for having 8-12k in a 110k stadium, or going to have to dip into Trump foundation funds to hire actors across the state like in Phoenix.

In Fargo he booked Scheels Arena (USHL Fargo Force rink, 5500); he could've filled Fargodome (NDSU football, 20000) based on what was left outside in the parking lot on a 100 degree day.

That experience will embolden him and he'll overbook when he goes elsewhere and the empty seats will be there.

Re: POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

why would they release on a long holiday weekend?

Ask Chuck Todd.

My reaction was your reaction. You release bombshells Sunday mornings on the talking heads to flood the week's news cycle; you release Friday afternoon for stuff you don't want noticed, and moreso on the Friday of a three-day weekend.

Mueller at least outwardly appears not to care about creating breaking news for the media.

Yeah, I mean, c'mon, Rudy said this whole thing would be over by Labor Day*

*after first saying it would all be over by 4th of July.

Have you been alive this summer? Every Friday has had big things drop.

So was he or was he not off the record?

https://www.thestar.com/news/world/...-he-isnt-compromising-at-all-with-canada.html

If he was on the record, he's the jackwagon for not realizing it.

If he was off the record, well, shame on the media.

He was off the record with Bloomberg. Bloomberg didn't print. They honored their deal.

If some other news agency finds out what was said, they have no obligation to keep it quiet.

If he didn't want it found out, he should have kept his big yap shut. Goes for a lot of issues surrounding him.

Not knowing tradition or precedent on matters like this:

If someone with a handfull of ink-stained wretches says "this is off the record" isn't it for all of them?

For the Star to have gotten it, wouldn't it be logical to assume one of those who got it "off the record" broke that trust?

But yes, your point stands: Gibbs' Rule #4 applies.

Yeah, this admin is airtight! No chance it could have been leaked by anyone besides Bloomberg

Only if they were in the room with him. We dont know who leaked it (could have been someone at the WH and probably was) so we cant assume "off the record" applies here.

Basically he should just shut the bleep up.
