POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

So, if she were investigated she'd be in jail? Not sure that follows. No one has been investigated more than Hillary Clinton in the history of the United States. Try again.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just being sarcastic. If there was something, I would expect there to be a looking into. Obviously, there really wasn't anything that they can remotely get her on.

Obama dotted every "I" and crossed every "T," and yet was still fined by the FEC for missing some paperwork. After $Texas hours of Benghazi investigations, all that they yielded were Gifs of Smug Hillary for the internet. GW and Co. invaded a nation under the false premise of WMD's: "Let's hope no one notices the abbreviation for this campaign: 'Operation Iraqi Liberation," and the worst from that era was Scooter Libby going to jail.

Whatever sh** Trump was in, he was much better off gracefully backing out to let this all settle. But his ego couldn't let that happen.

Of course they did- a political adversary died over the weekend. It's a good day for them.

I'm waiting for him to put together a rally so he can have the tv on him rather than McCain during the funeral

I'm still of the opinion that he never thought he would get elected. You can see on his face how utterly scared and overwhelmed at the prospect of being president he was during that first meeting with Obama.

Yep, I totally agree.

this was a play to rile up a few million rabid die hard supporters during the primary, and then launch his TV network with that loyal audience that felt he got screwed out of the republican nomination by the "establishment". When he launched his campaign, he wanted to come in 3rd in the primary.

Yeah Trump was supposed to be the GOP version of Bernie. Problem was his voters were too stupid to know it.

Wouldn't you be? Having is not the same as wanting. You either grow into the chair, screw the pooch, or muddle through somehow leaving no mark on history.

Trump is touting his new "revised" NAFTA deal with Mexico which fixes nothing (updates a few things) which is going to have all sorts of issues since Canada wasnt part of the deal.

Re: POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

I declared the Trump presidency a disaster before he took office, based on who he was picking for his cabinet and white house staff. Several of the right-leaning posters **** all over me. They probably still don't agree with my assessment.

Perhaps they **** all over you because a lot of the policies are those you supported about 10 years ago, but now it's not OK because of the attached letter. It's not about the policy, it's about the party.

Only because they were kangaroo investigations where they were going to get away with it before it even started.

bull****. you really are a moron.

I've never supported any policy of rolling back EPA regulations, reducing or elimination of national monument designations, detaining and separating families of people seeking asylum, further tax cuts for the wealthy (especially in a strong economy), alienating our allies, et cetera

you could see clearly that was the direction he was going to go, before he even took office, by who he wanted to put in his cabinet.

It's not about the R, its about the policy you imbecile

Hell, he was an a55 when I was in college. I continue to be astonished how many people in my generation don't remember all the stuff he did to screw people. It was constantly in the news and I wasn't even in the same state he was in when he was doing it. I didn't need to wait to see who he picked for a cabinet to figure out he was a disaster. He's been a scumbag for decades and the only reason he wasn't in jail is because his daddy had too much money for that to happen.

I'm not. Based on his past postings in the business thread before I put him on ignore, I assume he's a selfish *****.
I used to think he was trolling and looking for a reaction. Not something to respect in a person but not terminal. Lately I don't even read what he writes because it is predictably so stupid there is no reason to waste time. If that really is him then I guess I feel sorry for him. Hard to be that oblivious to fact in real life.

If I was afraid and overwhelmed at the prospect of the job, I wouldn't run for it in the first place.

Besides the usual "economically anxious" BS, he got elected cause people saw him on their TV every week, he's rich, so he must be smart, and he looked tough telling people "You're fired".

He's president, and he can't even fire anyone in his cabinet face to face. He makes other people do it. He's a gutless coward and a phony. Anyone with half a brain could see that throughout his lifetime. Oh, wait, Flaggy worships him. ;)

Re: POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

NEW YORK — The government's top official overseeing the $1.5 trillion student loan market resigned in protest on Monday, citing what he says is the White House's open hostility toward protecting the nation's millions of student loan borrowers.

Seth Frotman will be stepping down as student loan ombudsman at the end of the week, according to his resignation letter, which was obtained by The Associated Press. He held that position since 2016, but has been with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau since its inception in 2011.

"You have used the bureau to serve the wishes of the most powerful financial companies in America," Frotman wrote, addressing his letter to Mulvaney. "The damage you have done to the bureau betrays these families and sacrifices the financial futures of millions of Americans in communities across the country."

So glad we have a populist in the White House.

My favorite part.

The student loan office is not alone. Under Mulvaney, the bureau has scaled back its enforcement work and has proposed revising or rescinding all of the rules and regulations it put into place under the Obama administration.

You can just about honestly say that Obama was never President. Everything he did or was done during his administration has been erased.
