Q. I was amazed to see last month that longtime Fiesta Bowl official John Junker was sentenced to time in federal prison. He’s been a respected member of the community for decades, and I have a hard time fathoming that he would do anything that warrants time in prison. He does not seem like a criminal to me, and from what I’m told, he was accused of breaking rules about how to raise money for political campaigns. Can you really go to jail for that?

So, what’s the lesson here? If you ever face sentencing for a federal crime, it may help reduce your sentence that you’re a valued member of the community, that you cooperated with the government, and that others speak out on your behalf. But, it won’t necessarily keep you out of prison. A felony is a felony.

So, basically to get the President to feel sorry for you you have to commit a bunch of felonies and stay loyal. Good to know. What about us middle class Americans who don't commit felonies and have stagnant wages and careers?

Don't forget that dumpy has claimed many times that without the Muller investigation, Manafort would have never been charged, and Cohen would have never had to plead guilty. Which is to say- it's ok to break the law, as long as you don't get caught. What a pathetic excuse.

Just think, Trump could have kept this whole thing under wraps had he just bowed out at any point along the way, allowed Russia to interfere thanks to his in-roads, and all these people would have made for a VH1 Pop-Up Video style "remember these shifty people?" segment on an episode of Rachel Maddow.

Instead, Trump's ego caused the whole house of cards to be exposed to the wind.

At least Ostrich Paulie's wife won't have to have Russian oligarchs running trains on her any more. I presume she and her daughters are pretty content with that.

Something to consider.

If you break the law of illegal immigration, which Congress decided is a federal misdemeanor, you get your kids taken from you.

If you break the laws that Cohen and Manafort did, which Congress decided are federal felonies, you should get away with it.

That is how dumpy sees what is going on right now, as that is exactly how this guy is enforcing or trying to enforce the law.

So many R's are standing behind them, how in the world can they even remotely claim they are the party of "the rule of law"???

Not sure if it's been posted here but the suspect in the Mollie Tibbetts case is undocumented and worked on the farm owned by GOP agriculture commissioner in Iowa.

I did not know that last part. That means the story cuts both ways. Good. There was a great statement by the family in support of tolerance and bad people coming from all places that I saw this morning as well.

After all the stuff yesterday there still isn’t any evidence of collusion. It’s time to stop wasting taxpayer money and end the investigation.
