And the ones that wouldn't vote for him again are the ones the Dems need to convince in the next prez election. These are the people that swung the last election.

If the Dems need to "convince" them, then they're still Trump supporters.

then, maybe. If, as you say, they supported Trump then, but will not for 2020, why do Dems have to "convince" them? If they need to be convinced to not vote for Trump, they're still Trump supporters.

Being anti-Hillary doesn't mean they are Trump supporters...then or now. It's not a black and white issue.
It is possible to not like either of them.

In 2018, that’s no longer true. You are either for or against fascism. This is a simple choice. It might not be easy to vote for Democrats for many people, but it’s a simple choice.

I recall frothing at the mouth from the right on socialism while BHO was occupying the Big Chair. We all survived.

You guys need to chill. Nobody's been sent to reeducation centers, the press is still free, dissent is still tolerated and the economy is still doing well.

We haven't had a president like tD for almost 200 years. The nation survived then and it will continue to survive if we let it.

Yeah but there is a lot of "Boy Who Cried Wolf" with this stuff. The difference is real politicians are smart enough not to pull the crap we know they want to but Trump is not a politician nor is he smart enough to not do what he wants to do. I can see why people bought the act and ignored the warnings. All the people who gave me crap for being so gloom and doom about it have admitted they were wrong. Even my Republican friends hate Trump at this point.

There is a reason why polling numbers are dire right now. Trump is an anchor for a lot of GOPers out there hoping to stay in office.

Yes, you did. The original point is all about people who did vote for Trump in 2016, but supposedly will not in 2020.

If Dems need to "convince" these people not to vote for Trump again, as Brent asserts, then they're not on the fence, they're "not caring", they're still Trump supporters.

Yep. Just boiling the frog. That you won't stand against it means you're ok with letting it happen. You don't "let" it survive, you take the steps needed to make sure it survives. Good to see you're not willing to. You deserve what you get.

Nazi Germany didn't become Nazi Germany overnight, you know. It happened cause a lot of "good Germans" decided to sit that one out, or cautioned their fellow citizens not to get too worried, just chill.

Not necessarily. They could now hate Trump...but still not want to vote for a Dem. They may only vote if Trump is primaried.
Again...for me that's not supporting Trump.

Well I suppose if I was a conservative speaker at Berkeley...

You can still demonstrate in front of the White House without having the cops hit you with a firehose or billy club. You can picket anywhere. You can still write a letter to the editor criticizing anyone.

You're right of free speech is still protected by the Constitution. You may not be treated nicely by your neighbors for exercising your right, but you won't be hauled off to jail.

It's the PC police that are ruining things. People are swooning over some remark that offends them. We (you) need to be more tolerant.
