He said this morning that all people have to do is not come her illegally. He's never, and his administration have never acknowledged that seeking asylum is a legal process (not illegal). So, it's his definition not yours or mine.

And yes, this is the country they want to live in.

Because minority rule is soo much better.

The EC is pretty terrible. It gives Californians about a quarter of the representation of someone from WY - for no justifiable reason. That level of distortion is typically only seen in the most gerrymandered states. Add to that winner take all, and its no wonder the majority of presidents elected this century came to office against the will of the people. Aparch seems to be concerned about the Urban counties getting too much influence. Well rest assured...the major cities he mentioned - NYC, Chicago, LA - being in blue states have absolutely zero say. The only votes that matter in the EC are swing states.

The Founding Fathers didn't want the EC. James Madison, the father of the constitution, acknowledged that 'a popular vote would be ideal' for election of the president. The only reason the EC is in use today was because the south wanted credit for slaves but would only let whites vote. In the end, it gives rural voters undue influence, and its unlikely they are any better at managing the US economy than those in the city. For EC supporters, you can relax as you have your fill of tariffs and coal.

Clinton (Bill, not Hillary) never got 50% of the vote.

No. Trump isn't even illegitimate. W is the only one and he was President because of the conservative Court which is now massively more conservative.

Based on election results, who was a better choice? Answer is nobody. Although it may not work for you and only in the case of Bill Clinton, the peoples #1 choice is used by pretty much every democratic form of government in the world.

However, very few democracies in the world have anything as distorting as the electoral college which is a winner takes all based on districts that weight some voters much more than others.

Then get Congress + 37 states to change the system. Otherwise quit complaining and cope like the rest of us.

A majority can be less than 50%, especially when it's a three way race.

What have you had to cope with, joe? The republicans have come out on top in all four college>popular decisions since they were established as a party.
