The articles coming out about the 5 year olds in court is just ridiculous. A 5 year old isnt allowed to decide what parent they want to live with in court but they are supposed to understand the rules of Asylum and other types of immigration under the Geneva Convention? Full grown adults with degrees have issues with it...

I saw this weekend that reports said some documentation - docs that linked small kids to parents- were purposefully destroyed

Don't forget the ONE year old who was forced to make an appearance in immigration court.

His name is Johan.

He drank a bottle of milk and played with a purple ball as he waited for the immigration judge, The Associated Press reported.

John W. Richardson, the judge at the Phoenix courthouse, said he was "embarrassed to ask" if the defendant understood the proceedings. "I don't know who you would explain it to, unless you think that a 1-year-old could learn immigration law," he told Johan's attorney.

The boy had been separated from his father, who left the United States for their country of Honduras under the impression that his son would go with him, Johan's lawyer said.

Young Johan, at the end of the hearing, was handed a voluntary departure order so that he can be flown to Honduras and into the arms of his family.

It's one of the oldest negotiating tactics in the book: race to the camera.

You come out with a "meh" understanding but claim "Duckies-and-bunnies! All is well!"
When the other side says "Um, no", you cry "They reneged!" and you claim to be the good guy who negotiated in good faith.

Look at Trump's history. It's one of his base plays.


Once you understand that Trump is a used car lot owner and a used car salesman all his plays make sense. Thing is, people trust used car salesmen more than Congress.

Ugh. No one believed Trump to begin with, because his story was less believable than Santa Claus. You're still acting like this is sound strategy, when the entire world knows it's BS, which would seem to be a problem for us.
