I'm sorry but this isn't surprising. The entire GOP's ideology is now built around white supremacists. Far from trying to hide it, they're celebrating it. Yeah yeah they've ditched the white sheets and the burning crosses (for the most part) but can anybody tell me the difference between the KKK and the GOP? Aside from maybe tax cuts for billionaires, because I'm not sure if the KKK ever took a stance on that.

my town's 4th of July parade included:

a "Pinocchio president" -- a Donald Trump caricature with a nose so long it took several people to carry it along the parade route.

a group with a float that looked like children in a cage denouncing family separation, pro-immigration signs - including the inscription of the Statue of Liberty, and people handing out statue of liberty hats

A "the only wall we need is between church and state" float
