A really smart nutritionist friend tells me, "If you're going to drink Coke, just drink Coke. The diet stuff will kill you." Which seems right to me, based on taste alone.
(but supposedly the sugar-based (imported) is better for you than the corn-based "regular" cola)

The guy is exceeding his daily calorie limit by 1000 on soda alone. Before he's eaten anything. I'm not saying diet is good for you necessarily (there are studies that show it isn't) but that's clearly the lesser of two evils here.

Obviously there are plenty of obese people that drink diet but you'd think that if this guy could successfully switch he'd be cutting out 3000 calories just from that alone and would lose weight. I'm guessing this dude isn't the healthiest person to begin with but it'd be pretty hard to make up that 3000 calorie difference from food (though I know people who tend to drink a lot of diet crave sweeter things so maybe he'd just binge on ice cream or something).

I edited but yeah, I'm guessing other parts of his diet aren't the greatest. But even if he switched to diet from regular it'd be hard to make up 3000 calories unless you were really trying because I'm assuming he already eats like a chubber.

Trump and his allies fear that documents and recordings that the FBI swept up from Cohen’s home and office could come back to haunt the president, whose lawyers have joined Cohen’s in New York in asserting attorney-client privilege and are asking a federal judge to approve an independent review of the material.

“Who knows what Cohen has in those files,” said a person close to the White House.

But their concerns go beyond Cohen’s voluminous files. Increasingly, Trump’s outside advisers are worried about the risk posed by Cohen himself.

“I think for two years or four years or five years, Michael Cohen would be a stand-up guy. I think he’d tell them go **** up a rope. But depending on dollars involved, which can be a big driver, or if they look at him and say it’s not two to four years, it’s 18 to 22, then how loyal is he?” said one defense lawyer who represents a senior Trump aide in Mueller’s Russia investigation.

“Is he two years loyal? Is he 10 years loyal? Is he 15 years loyal?” the attorney added. “That’s the currency. It’s not measured in inches. It’s measured in years.”

Jay Goldberg, a longtime Trump lawyer, told The Wall Street Journal that he spoke with Trump on Friday about Cohen and warned the president against trusting Cohen if he is facing criminal charges. Goldberg said he warned the president that Cohen “isn’t even a 1” on a scale of 1 to 100, where 100 was remaining fully loyal to the president, the newspaper reported.

Cohen claims he spent $130k of his money to pay off that ... um, er, ah, ... fine young lady. That's on the record. So how's that harm Trump?

Or is it what else Cohen might have/know that folks are hanging their hat on?

The diet stuff is sweetened with Aspartame, which has been linked to a number of the digestively-linked problems in today's society.

Cohen may very well have put his own money on the line for that payoff. What did he get in return for that payoff? It doesn't end with a single dollar transaction.

Say Cohen did get compensated, and not with election campaign funds, then what? A lawyer got paid. And.

I'm trying to understand where folks think Cohen is going to take them.

Don't worry, your boy in the White House will be just fine, because we know you are so concerned about how poor little donald trump and his allies are being treated. Unless he dies before January 2021, he'll see the end of his term.

Why are you twisting yourself into such contortions about this? Are you Cohen's lawyer?

IF he did something wrong, he's be punished. If not, he won't.

IF dump has something to do with this, he will suffer. If not, he won't.

Why is it so hard to let it play out?

IMHO, the press have done a fine job illustrating some of those bad possibilities. It seems as if you don't agree with them. Right now, the leading candidate is 1) he illegally paid off a person to settle a sex scandal, that 2) his client was fully aware of and signed off to. Mind you, this is in a totally different plane of prosecution than Mueller and the, so far, 3-4 charges of obstruction that he's going to illustrate for dump.

(which is really odd to me, if dump is not lying, and did nothing, why is does he have such a boner to end the investigation looking into russian intrusion into the election- if he's not guilty, this should be no issue. And if you want, you can use the same sentence, and replace "russian intrusion" with "Cohen"- as both apply)
