I'm under investigation for embezzling company funds. I have an accountant. My accountant turns out to have helped another guy embezzle his company's funds. Does that make me guilty? Nope. Does it mean I now have a proven accomplice who does exactly the kind of work I'm accused of having done? Yep.

Which still doesn't make you guilty.

My attorney screwed up some title work and a client lost some property. So am I going to lose my house also? No, but my attorney is going to lose at least two clients. ;)

Not at all. But:

1) It makes me a much bigger target of opportunity because I'm at least adjacent to the biz if not deep in it, and

2) My accountant is now looking at charges and has an incentive to rat me out to get clemency.

Meanwhile, outside the courtroom, optically it looks terrible.

The other thing here is this isn't a mistake. You attorney was incompetent, whereas Cohen was perfectly competent and doing what he was contracted to be doing. Just the sort of guy a criminal would want on the payroll. Hmm...

Outside of theory I can't believe there's anyone left who does not know Dump is an unusually famous and unusually inept but otherwise stereotypical con man. It must suck to have voted for a crook, especially when you ought to have seen he was a crook long before now, but really... to continue to maintain a defense of him at this point..? I mean, why? Is this dirt bag really worth your dignity?

After talking with my dad and his adventures with Medicare, I'm moving more in the category of oppose when it comes to Medicare for all. It's way too complicated. Especially when you start to fart around with Advantage and all of the other extras. It quickly snowballs into an overly complex hairball.

ANd he's probably the smartest guy I know.

Single payer is not the same as Medicare for all.
I’m not in favor of Medicare for all at all

Yeah, cause Medicare by itself is utter crap. So you're right back into the Insurance Soup again.

The reason it is bad for Trump is because the more they find on Cohen the less likely his gambit will be to get a judge to block the information he has from going public. Cohen is a fixer, which mean he knows dirty secrets about everybody and when the judge allows all the tapes and files to be put into evidence against him he is going to squeal like a pig. Guys like Cohen dont do well in prison.

Trump is one of many sweating this out.

If you arent guilty you fight for your innocence you dont smear everyone involved, lie and when caught lying tell more lies to cover yourself.

I know you want to believe there is no "there" there but if there wasnt why does everyone involved keep telling lies? Just tell the truth people will let it go. Why continue to risk everything by covering things up if there is nothing to cover up?

Take Trump out of it...lets say you have an employee. He is suspected of stealing but there is little evidence. When you ask if he stole the stuff he tells you he wasnt at work that day. You check the logs and he was. When confronted he said he was at work but never was away from his desk. People around his area swear he left for like an hour multiple times. He says he had meetings during those times but no one can corroborate that he did. What are you thinking about said employee?

Medicare sucks because people are afraid of Socialism. So R's do everything they can do to make sure people get as little as possible, and make it tough so that they think they can go after the abusers.

Once we all accept that using Socialism for health care is a good idea, all of that will go away.
