Interesting that Rod's at peace with maybe being canned now, but stands by axing Comey.

Rosenstein has said in recent private conversations that history will prove he did the right thing by firing Comey in May 2017, claiming that the American people do not have all the facts about what led to his decision to write the memo that led to Comey's dismissal, the sources said.

Well, maybe Rosenstein isn't the story of the day.

DOJ IG's report on McCabe is out.

The report says that McCabe "lacked candor" in a conversation with Comey when he said that he had not authorized the disclosure and didn't know who had done so.

The IG also found that he also lacked candor when questioned by FBI agents on multiple occasions since that conversation, where he told agents that he did authorize the disclosure and did not know who was responsible.

"Lacked candor" is FBI/DOJ-speak for "lied".

More interesting, now McCabe is throwing Comey under the bus!

McCabe and Bromwich seemingly sought to diminish the credibility of Comey, blasting his "recollection" as "not at all clear."
