Re: POTUS 45.29: Eggs and Tweet Storms for Breakfast

Manafort had better have something on Trump or he's going to be looking at Bernie Madoff time. He's going to need to make something up at this point. ;)

Thinking the same thing. He's going to spend the rest of his life in jail unless he has the goods. Didn't we hear reports recently that Trump had told some people if Manafort flips he's in trouble?

Re: POTUS 45.29: Eggs and Tweet Storms for Breakfast

You realize the GOP voters wont change just cause the party name did right? They will switch to the conservative party and do exactly what they did here.

Exactly. They won't. They have a small list of issues that they like and they will vote for those issues no matter what the candidate did. Trump was right when he said he could shoot somebody on the streets of New York and he wouldn't lose any support. They're a block. And their block is bigger than any Democratic block that exists right now.

Actually I assume the GOP voters are too stupid to do anything but push the feeder bar for the Republican.

He's not going to need to make anything up. Full immunity in exchange for full disclosure. Dumpy will have to choose: step down or life in prison for his dimwitted son. Sic semper tyrannis.

Apparently NBC News has a source saying that yes. (it was in that tweetstorm I posted about a few days ago)

The more Mueller charges them with the less likely it will be Trump pardons him as well. One or two counts is one thing but this is becoming something too big. Pardoning someone of this caliber would not be advisable to anyone with a brain. (so Trump will do it)

Manfort needs something...even if it is just the next link in the chain if he doesnt want to die in prison. If I was Kushner I would be losing sleep right now. (and not just cause my wife is screwing her father in the next room...allegedly)

I'm not worried about the pardon. Mueller has that covered with the State of New York and state charges. And Cuomo isn't pardoning anyone.

I wish that was true but it isnt. Maybe the dumbest of the dumb but you and I both know once Cletus sees Johnson from the new party wants to cut taxes, cut entitlements and allow for sex with 12 year olds whilst holding an Uzi they will know who to vote for.

Never put anything past Trump to try...any man who constantly asks about people's loyalty will go unhinged.

The count count won't affect Dumpy's instinct to evade the law. Dumpy has no higher mental function -- he operates strictly as a wounded animal: fight or flight.

If he doesn't flee we're going to have one helluva constitutional crisis, with the GOP not giving two sh-ts about the rule of law. The brownshirts have been assembling for thirty years for a coup d'etat. They want to destroy democracy. They have no use for anything but the mob and brute force.

The GOP told Nixon to pack his bags. McConnell and Ryan have no such principles or patriotism. If they have their way they will provoke the bloodbath their fanatical dupes have always dreamed of.

Oh, he'll try it. I hope he does. And I can't wait for the tears to start flowing when it doesn't work and Jared gets escorted out of the White House in handcuffs.

Donald John Trump's phone call with a survivor of last week's mass shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school angered the student, who said her conversation with the president "didn't make me feel better in the slightest."

Samantha Fuentes, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student who was shot in both legs during last week's attack, recounted her call in an interview with The New York Times.

"He said he heard I was a big fan of his, and then he said, 'I'm a big fan of yours, too,' " Fuentes told the Times.

"I'm pretty sure he made that up," she continued. "Talking to the president, I've never been so unimpressed by a person in all my life. He didn't make me feel better in the slightest."

Fuentes told the Times that Trump had called the gunman a “sick puppy” and said “‘oh boy, oh boy, oh boy,’ like, seven times.”

Re: POTUS 45.29: Eggs and Tweet Storms for Breakfast

I have the attention span of a groundhog, so I've gotten a tremendous amount of valuable entertainment and education from NPR's Embedded podcast as they've been going over the history of the various Trump players. For example, listening to the excellent Kushner family history episode, I was struck by how much tension in the Trump transition was fueled by the fact that Chris Christie had put Jared's father in federal prison years before. I'd forgotten that. Also excellent are the Steve Bannon episode, and "Colllusion." In fact all of them. If you're as forgetful as me, listen to them for a recap of Trumpism that makes everything more clear (and terrifying).

Wow. These are really well done. I'm about half an hour into Collusion and it's more than I thought I knew. Great job connecting dots and telling the backstory for sure!

So, I see that our draft dodger in chief is saying that the police deputy that didn't go into the school lacks courage.

He may have lacked courage, but he was not lacking in intelligence. You wait for backup in a hot situation (also talked about in the Mass Shooting thread).

He's live right now and he is tearing that security guard up. Wow. He's saying that the security guard was a coward and didn't have any feelings for the children. Here's a tweet that describes it better than I did.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Trump says security guard who was outside Stoneman Douglas and didn’t enter to stop shooter “probably doesn’t love the children” like teachers would have.
