GOP, no. Just like I'm not quitting being a Catholic when there is a bad Pope.

tD is a bad comedy show. 3 things will happen
- he quits
- he gets tossed by the Congress
- he gets tossed by the voters

I said way back when that Biden would have won in an FDR/Nixon/Reagan landslide. The Dems ran (once again) the wrong candidate at the wrong time.

He won't quit.
He won't get tossed unless both Houses are Democrats.
He won't get tossed by voters until 2020.

No. His 33%-40% were locked in. No landslide. No Democrat will ever get a landslide.

I don’t think that’s a fair assessment of Tillerson. Would you fault a teacher if they weren’t given books or desks?

I’m not saying he did a good job, but it’s pretty difficult to do anything under an administration that undermines your every move.

Also hamstrung by a shoestring budget and a complete willingness to dismantle the whole department. Clinton and Kerry left things in pretty good shape. Now it's a dumpster fire and Pompeo is a Trump lap dog so I see the US creating a huge vacuum that Russia and China will be happy to fill.

trump is up to his ears in it with Russians of all stripes and types. He's laundered $$$ for them,probably for decades now. But I do occasionally remind myself that the CIA, NSA, FBI and basically most of their foreign counterparts also all agreed Iraq was hiding WMDs, so who the hell knows anything. We live in a funny world.

Also in addition to 5h!t-canning Tillerson, trump axed a long serving but mostly unknown personal assistant, someone named John McEntee. Escorted out of the White House yesterday without even being allowed to grab his suit jacket. Honest question, is there a single solitary person employed by this administration who is actually highly qualified for the job? I'm not counting communications people and press secretaries, since they are basically hired to spin and lie (in that regard he has a cabinet and administration FULL of people who can step right in to those jobs -- sort of like how every Marine is a rifleman so even if you have nothing left but cooks and trumpet players you can still have an effective fighting force), I'm talking about all of the people who are responsible for the inertial movement and direction of the government. Can anyone name even one hire that is not an embarrassment?

No, they didn't. 90% of what their analysts produced said the WMD story was bullsh-t. Cheney et al. then cherry picked the 10% so they could justify their oil company war.

Sometimes it really is that simple. Iraq was a smash and grab operation, like robbing a liquor store. The "intel" cover story was concocted by politicals -- the IC never bought it. It's just like torture -- not a single smart professional in interrogation in the IC believes it works or is worth the erosion of the rule of law, but a bunch of sociopaths and cynics used it as a cudgel.

It's the 15th century, joe. The GOP has been a completely perverted organization for 40 years, now. They could not be worse if they methodically went down the list of issues and chose the stance that would cause the most suffering to the most people. They are a sick, sick organization and they need to either die or be purged of criminals and sadists.

The Democrats are smug and corrupt. The Republicans are literal, metaphysical evil.

And 12 hours later, he's fired.

There's totally no collusion, though. Nothing to see here, just getting rid of a disgruntled employee who didn't agree with POTUS' vision. Amiright?
