POTUS 45: 28 - Yo Memo So Stupid, Donald Renamed it "Eric"

Re: POTUS 45: 28 - Yo Memo So Stupid, Donald Renamed it "Eric"

Is this the first President in history who only communicates to his base? Anyone else have any other examples? Even Reagan (That POS) tried to talk to everyone.

Trump's political instincts despite all his other lunacy are top notch. He knows d amn well the only way to survive the mid terms and the 2020 re-election is 100% participation of his base while simultaneously trying to drive down turnout on the left. Reagan commanded a much larger coalition and was much more of party man by that point.

We'll see. Holding that 33% has to be the easiest thing in the world to do. He hasn't had to make one difficult call his entire Presidency. Immigration he looked like he would go against them then he backtracked. I bet the same thing happens with any gun legislation.

He'll never have to do anything short of an actual crisis (which he'll **** up massively). He tweets something that shockingly sounds reasonable and either backtracks or lets Paul Ryan do the work which looks Randian and stupid.

The thing that is starting to cost Trump is that his political instincts are for his own personal survival only and nearly always prove costly to those who sign on with him.

Good point. Paul Ryan and Turtle Boy run interference for him all the time, making it even easier to hold the 33%.

Sometimes I hate the media.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...ction-on-russian-election-meddling/ar-BBJmQOf

President Trump on Tuesday accused former President Barack Obama of declining to take action against Russian efforts to meddle in the 2016 election, because he wanted to preserve Hillary Clinton's chances of winning the race.

This just isn't true.

This is true.

Former Vice President Joe Biden says he and President Barack Obama decided not to speak out publicly on Russian interference during the 2016 campaign after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refused to sign a bipartisan statement condemning the Kremlin's role.

Speaking on Tuesday at the Council on Foreign Relations, Biden said the Obama administration sought a united front to dispel concerns that going public with such accusations would be seen as an effort to undermine the legitimacy of the election.

However, McConnell "wanted no part of having a bipartisan commitment saying, essentially, 'Russia's doing this. Stop,' " he said.

Turtle Boy should be taking massive amounts of heat right now. Instead, he's not taking any heat for his behavior in this matter.

No doubt. Chump is going to let his Congressional allies twist in the wind this fall while he blames them for any losses that they incur. Then he'll pivot to 2020 and claim that he's the only thing standing in the way of Democratic hordes taking over. That'll work in getting his people to turn out again. The unknown is his ability (aided by his Russian friends) to sow discord on the left so that some people either stay home or worse, vote FOR him again out of spite. Trump's base has no love for Goopers in Congress, particularly Itch McConnell, so they might sit the election out. He will get that 62M to come out again for his re-election despite all the walkers, replacement hips and false teeth that make up that coalition. ;)

Scoobs - Chump is right. Barack Obama was a fuking idiot for not going public with Russian meddling on the behalf of Trump in 2016. Who cares if you have McConnell's freakin approval? Far and away the stupidest and most naïve thing he did his whole presidency. As good as a leader as he was, his inattention to politics and inability to fight fire with fire when opposing the knuckledraggers killed his party.

Re: POTUS 45: 28 - Yo Memo So Stupid, Donald Renamed it "Eric"

One wonders how Charisma Boy gets all these people to lie for him.

WASHINGTON — The special counsel investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election has charged an attorney with making a false statement when he was interviewed about work he did with a Trump campaign adviser six years ago.

The attorney, Alex van der Zwaan, who worked in London for the prominent New York law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, was expected to appear in court on Tuesday. He is accused of making false statements regarding communications he had with Rick Gates, the former Trump campaign aide, about work done in Ukraine, according to a document filed in court on Friday.

Mr. Gates was a longtime business associate of Paul Manafort, a Trump campaign chairman, and followed him onto the campaign. Both have been charged by the special counsel with money laundering and violations of tax and lobbying laws and have pleaded not guilty. Mr. Manafort was not mentioned in the court document about Mr. van Der Zwaan.

Yeah, I can just imagine how wonderful life would be right now if Hillary had won and that was considered why. Sorry, I can't agree. No win situations are no win for a reason and that one was certainly a no win situation.

Re: POTUS 45: 28 - Yo Memo So Stupid, Donald Renamed it "Eric"

Yes, absolutely.Obama didn't want the issue to just devolve into more partisan bickering, "he said he said" both sideserism, especially so close to the election, which is why he wanted McConnell's backing on this.

Say what you will about him, but just one more example of Obama trying to rise above the political games of Washington, and do what's right for the country.

What he did do was kick out some 35 Rusian "diplomats". as well as close down two Russian compounds here in the US. Compounds that Trumpy made as one of his first priorities to get opened back up again, which I believe they now are again.

Sorry but that isnt true. If they knew Russia was screwing with the election they need to go public with it. It doesnt matter who it was helping you cannot sit on the knowledge that a foreign power is trying to influence things.

Obama was a naive fool on stuff like that. He always thought the right thing would be done despite the evidence. He wasted half his presidency trying to show the Right the right thing to do and they spent his whole presidency hating him and saying he wasnt even a citizen. Obama needed to watch less Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and more The American President.

You cant rise above it when you are neck deep in it. His rising above it allowed for the Russian interference to go unchecked until it was too late. That is outright stupidity.

Oh, it is true. It would've been Civil War if he had gone public and she had won. We'd still be in limbo right now with the lawsuits.

What sucks is that the town she lives in doesnt believe her cause they are pro Trump and even family members dont because they are Trumpers.

What purpose is there for her to lie about this? She never asked for any money, never became a celebrity, hell never even went public until he ran for President (a decade later) and even NOW she isnt those things. Why would she put herself through all of this to make up that Donald Trump did exactly what Donald Trump says he often does?

I would rather that than just let it happen. He took the spineless Democrat way out. Hell dont even say who they are benefiting just acknowledge publicly that Russia is interfering according to every intelligence agency we have. The people have a right to know.

And you are also making an assumption she would have won...I make no such assumption. The Comey letter still happens and people still would have stayed home cause they hate her.

I guess we'll never know. Just so you know I find your opinion plausible as well as my own.

She has no reason to lie. And that's why it's infuriating. It's also why many women never bother to come forward.

And I find yours the most likely to have happen even if this happens again which ticks me off ;)

FYI sooner or later Itch will answer to Mueller about this...
