Paul Ryan is trying to justify the tax cuts by celebrating a school secretary's extra $1.50 a paycheck because it'll pay for her Costco membership. So... very stupid.

I listened to right wing radio while I was out driving today. For about 20 minutes. I tried to figure out what they were saying and whether any of it made any sense at all. It didn't. If a single Democrat spends 5 minutes on those people they are wasting their time.

If you look at his history, he's an average New York Republican who won the life lottery and has no idea how entitled he really is. As long as the feds lick Wall Street's balls, he couldn't care less about any other issue.

So I just watched the Mooch's segment on Maher. TBH, I thought he hung in there until the last 2 minutes, which is when Frum put him on the spot. First, for working for and defending an administration that is clearly obstructing justice. Then a moment later, when Mooch tried to call Frum a member of the elite establishment, Frum calling him out for his, "I went to Harvard and manage a hedge fund, but I'm blue collar and not part of the elite" angle, and that's when Mooch got a little triggered. Social media made this out to be an entire 12 minute segment where he "got owned" repeatedly by Frum, and of course that is not the case.

Naturally, the majority of it was just the usual 9 or 10 mins of Maher in love with the sound of his own voice, repeatedly talking over a guest, which is his usual shtick with other guests of all political stripes. Bill makes some good points here and there, and is occasionally funny, but is mostly just a self-absorbed jerk, and I thought it was actually quite funny when Mooch told him he'd get along well with Trump because they have such similar personalities. :D

Social media isn’t exactly known for its accuracy.

Frum owned his azz but it wasn’t a 12-minute beat down. It was just when those two talked, which was somewhat limited.
