Re: POTUS 45:26 - One million tweets DC!

Seeing as he was bragging about his own sexual assault, I'm pretty sure calling an indisputably innocent person guilty was not purely out of "taking a tough stance on sexual assault".

They didn't know the person was "indisputably innocent" until 13 years later. Even if Trump stated that he believed his stance was incorrect in hindsight, you'd still hold him to his 1989 decision using 2002 evidence.

Re: POTUS 45:26 - One million tweets DC!

We'll never know since he didn't.

But why waste his time? He knows how the left operates. Not only would they hold him to the old decision, they'd say that he admits that he makes mistakes, which can be a disqualifying trait for many. Last thing you want on "the button" is a second-guesser, because that's the opportunity the enemy needs.

From the Wall Street Journal...
Trump Lawyer Arranged $130,000 Payment for Adult-Film Star’s Silence

A lawyer for President Donald Trump arranged a $130,000 payment to a former adult-film star a month before the 2016 election as part of an agreement that precluded her from publicly discussing an alleged sexual encounter with Mr. Trump, according to people familiar with the matter.

Michael Cohen, who spent nearly a decade as a top attorney at the Trump Organization, arranged payment to the woman, Stephanie Clifford, in October 2016 after her lawyer negotiated the nondisclosure agreement with Mr. Cohen, these people said.

Ms. Clifford, whose stage name is Stormy Daniels, has privately alleged the encounter with Mr. Trump took place after they met at a July 2006 celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, these people said. Mr. Trump married Melania Trump in 2005.

Here’s hoping someone invites stormy Daniels to the state of the union address!

If you're making the assumption, then either that's not a very wise assumption to make, or that would be something to the contrary of what you're attempting to clarify. If something's going to be posted here somewhat repetitively, then I have no choice but to take it at face value.

OK, so it was Charlottesville. One group starts speaking, another group wishes to engage in political discourse. Nothing wrong with that; it's a very healthy thing. BTW, nazis aren't far right, given "socialism" (at least a translation thereof) is in the long definition of "nazi". If you're trying to disavow from that group, that's fine, but there's more than two sides to this, so lumping them in with another group you don't like isn't the wisest course. Especially since the two sides engaging in political discourse were, by your definition, "far right". Once militants started to show up in the form of Antifa, and then cars were being driven in by another group to run over people, that's when things devolved, and that is what was being condemned. What Trump's saying is that it doesn't matter who started it, they're all behaving like a bunch of buffoons, so stop it. Just like any good mediator does.

Jesus, the ignorance. Had another guy on one of my cycling forums, who would argue that Nazis couldn't be far right because they had the word "Socialist" right in their name.

I always love that one.

They hated the communists. That makes them good guys, right?

On one hand, you could say that East Germany had the most awkward post-WW2 change of government/system. On the other hand, the DDR regime oppressed everyone equally, so it's all good, right?

Maybe you should have looked at the actual policies being directed. They were right out of Karl Marx's manifesto.

Drumpf ignored shouted questions about his Africa comment and about whether he’s a racist during an event Friday honoring Martin Luther King Jr. But he wasn’t silent the night before.

As his comments, disclosed by participants in the meeting, ricocheted around the world, Drumpf made calls to friends and outside advisers to judge their reaction to the tempest, said a person who spoke to Drumpf but wasn’t authorized to discuss a private conversation.

He wasn’t apologetic, the person said. Instead, Drumpf blamed the media for distorting his meaning, arguing his description of “****hole” was not racist but rather a straightforward assessment of some nations’ depressed conditions. Drumpf also said he believed he was expressing what many people think, according to the person.

So, just throwing spaghetti at the wall here...

Stormy Daniels was paid, reportedly, in October of 2016 to keep quiet. Donald was still fully campaigning at this point.

Could... could fundraised campaign dollars have been used to pay her off? This seems uncharacteristically like him to pay such a large debt in full in such short notice.
