See, it's crap like this that really ****es me off. I grew up in Iowa and have lived in the midwest my entire life. I'm a Democrat, most of my friends are Democrats, and I can promise you that we don't think like this at all. The conservatives in flyover states like Iowa have been brainwashed by Faux News to believe that all Democrats want to take your guns, hate religion, and kill your babies. It's freaking ridiculous. The "coastal elites" aren't the only ones with the problem here, it's also the fact that conservatives in Iowa and other flyover states are unable to think for themselves and recognize what their real problems are and the countries real problems are. The media they consume has rotted their critical thinking skills. I've seen it first hand with my retired dad in Iowa, he consumes Faux News all day long and it's completely changed the way he thinks and sees other people. It's really sad.
