POTUS 45.20 - Doddering Dotards Dodging Detente

Nobody's arguing with that.

Let's put it another way. Would you be comfortable with the USG monitoring all social media for everybody, all the time? Let's cede their right to. (1) Does it worry you that that sets up an adversarial relationship between the USG and its citizens? (2) Is that a good use of resources?
I've heard they already do this, at least to scan for certain kinds of threats. Not sure what would change going forward. I don't believe that immigrants were somehow exempted in the past... could it have something to do with admissibility as evidence?

Re: POTUS 45.20 - Doddering Dotards Dodging Detente

Dont try and spin it just because you were completely wrong. Trump said he was tapped by Obama. You believed it. Trump being caught up in the Manafort deal is not the same thing no matter how much you try and pretend it is. In one instance it is a President eavesdropping on a candidate/President-Elect for nefarious reasons and in the other Trump was caught up in an above board investigation that was looking into someone else.

And I love that you bring Carly Fiorina like that somehow adds credence to this Social Media BS. This is the same woman who claimed she saw the video of the babies being killed and their organs being sold off even though the video has never existed. She is a fraud, a horrible CEO and a terrible candidate for any office.

(this is why no one takes you seriously, your BS is too easy to disprove)

But hey...the GOP is the party of Small Government right? Obviously acting like Big Brother checking out the social media of any immigrant is right in line with those values.

Not only was Trump tapped, and FNN has had to admit it, but he's being tapped now.

The only thing really changing is the velocity of searching through all the information collected. People always say there's too much info, well evidently they don't know that Moore's Law still holds, and creates even more and more processing power...

No, CNN now says Trump may have been monitored because of Manafort being monitored. And it may have happened in Trump Tower. That's reality. And Manafort was monitored under a FISA warrant while Mr. Obama was President. Forgive me, but there is no way in < bleep > that a high level Trump campaign adviser was being "bugged" by the FBI without that going all the way up the food chain for at minimum "advisory information purposes": FBI --> DOJ --> Executive.

I know you hate Carly; but, forget the messenger and look at the message: Grandma can use publicly available social media to vet the granddaughter's new beau, but US INS can't/shouldn't?

So then grab it by the horns! The problem with your socialist ideals is that eventually you run out of other people's EVERYTHING, not just money. There's no incentive to actually do anything, because it just gets stolen from you and given to others.

Some of us still actually have dreams and desires, and want to actually act upon those. Sure, there will be some that will still be in the clouds, but the pounding down of those that are actually grounded in reality is what kills any sort of ingenuity.

Yeah Flaggy we've all heard that adage 10000x and it doesn't magically become true the 10001st time you say it ;)

Re: POTUS 45.20 - Doddering Dotards Dodging Detente

WASHINGTON — Scott Pruitt, the Environmental Protection Agency administrator who has aggressively pushed to dismantle regulations and downsize the organization, is threatening to reach outside his agency and undermine the Justice Department’s work enforcing antipollution laws, documents and interviews show.

Under Mr. Pruitt, the E.P.A. has quietly said it may cut off a major funding source for the Justice Department’s Environment and Natural Resources Division. Its lawyers handle litigation on behalf of the E.P.A.’s Superfund program seeking to force polluters to pay for cleaning up sites they left contaminated with hazardous waste. The E.P.A. reimburses the Justice Department for that work, paying more than $20 million annually in recent years, or enough for 115 full-time employees, budget documents show.

But Mr. Pruitt has signaled that he wants to end those payments, potentially carving a major hole in the division’s budget, in a little-noticed line in the E.P.A.’s budget proposal in the spring. No decision will be made until Congress passes an E.P.A. budget for the fiscal year that begins in October, officials at both agencies said, although the payments were created by the executive branch, not Congress, so Mr. Pruitt may be able to act on his own. Congress hopes to pass a spending plan before a stopgap measure expires in mid-December.

Kiss the environment goodbye. If you're a polluter you have lots of friends in the Trump administration. Good response from the electorate after Flint.

It's not called a "thought-terminating cliche" for nothing. Flag has been inoculated against ever challenging his plute masters, against even conceiving of them, with one Newspeak-like sentence.

Like "anybody who isn't a liberal at 20 has no heart, anybody who isn't a conservative at 40 has no brain," it doesn't mean anything, but it has truthiness so people who want something to hang onto think that by mouthing it they're being profound, when they're only spouting back their programming. That's what you get when your ideology replaces your ability to think for yourself.

The bumper sticker is a perfect emblem of the depth of right-wing thinking.

Because grandma isn't the US Government. Jesus, for a righty, you sure do have a boner for big government here.

If I saw Flaggy on twitter or something I'd just assume he's a Russian bot because his posts barely have any relevancy to what's even being discussed half the time. *BLEEP BLOOP* (canned sentence about socialism spending other peoples' money) *BLEEP BLOOP*

Since every actuary since 1970 has been wrong about everything.

You may disagree with DCA as a strategy but as for whether it "works," it's just math. If I'm buying $1.00 of Amalgamated Dildo and the stock is $1.00 today and 50 cents tomorrow (after the Great Vibrator Crash), then I get 1 share today and 2 tomorrow.

Flaggy's Rule of the Internet #2: I will never join Twitter.
