Any USAF alums here to reassure me about this?

Just be happy your general and field grade officers in the US military have been around long enough that they still have some semblance of sanity left, same as your most senior NCOs. These people, for the most part, have been part of the military for years and are not of the same mind-set as those who have been joining in the last few years. There has been a huge (I mean really frighteningly huge) rightward shift to the military, especially in the last dozen or so years. Obviously the military has had a right lean for generations, but even in the 80s and 90s it still more closely resembled the political thinking of the nation as a whole, especially those who were commissioned, than it does in 2017. But if we stay on a similar path, in another 10-15 years you're going to see a whole bunch of E-8s and E-9s and O-4s or higher who believe the 5h!t the alt-right is peddling. These are the people who will determine how our military is deployed and utilized. You think you have issues now, just wait.

Kathy Griffin with a head. "Arrangement" of Julius Caesar in the theatre. It's called desensitization. We've seen it before with many different things. We know what's likely to happen soon...

Trump's gonna be re-elected over Mitt Romney?

Listening live. Sessions is not as smooth in his presentation and has pulled the outrage card already. Not very effective yet

The KKKeebler Elf seems to be a South Pole Elf today...

Jeffy Jeff's staff had a month to come up with an excuse for his lie to Franken. They didn't come up with a very believable dodge.

I see this in microcosm at my work. The older vets are nicely sour and distrustful of everybody, liberal or conservative. The young guys are blood-spitting Trumpy sheep who believe Hillary was peddling sex slaves out of pizzerias.

My hope is the morons don't get into positions of authority.

Watching is worse. He has the manner of a shifty-eyed used car salesman. Refund?! Refund?!

Sessions is trying to burn Warner's time. It's funny how Warner keeps cutting him off and Sessions keeps going off on tangents to run out the clock. He's scared sh-tless of real questions.

And now we hear Sessions invoke confidentiality of his conversations with the President. He is in effect committing to stonewall and saying "you can't make me."

Foghorn Leghorn is in the house today, I see.

I don't think Foghorn Leghorn was a racist.

Also, chickens are taller than Sessions.

As are chicken hawks.

Watching on and off while I listen. His body language is abominable. Trying to pull the 'colleague' card, like he still is one of the old boys.

Now he says Comey was doing a bad job. Hmmmm. Never talked about it with him.

Oh and the dance around when he was asked about the whole Prez talking to Comey. Tried to imply this should be 'normal'.

“I don’t have any recollection” is going to be Sessions’ go to response on every possible meeting with Russian officials.

Note: if your drinking game includes the word “recollection,” you are already dead by now.

Now he is saying he can't remember if he talked to Kislyak.

Earlier he said he didn't.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

This is exactly the impression I got:

Sessions waves off his failure to appear before Appropriations or Judiciary as saying he believes it’s “bad policy” to keep bringing cabinet officials before Congress.

Warner asks about Mueller. Sessions wants to filibuster every response, but says “he hasn’t talked” to Trump about Mueller.

Sessions refuses to answer questions saying it’s not privilege, but it’s “longstanding policy” to not talk about conversations with president. Between Sessions and other Trump officials, a whole new right to not respond to congressional oversight is being created.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

Miss who this current 'questioner is but obviously GOP. Feeding Sessions the answers to his own questions so he can't shoot himself in the foot. And amazing how concise he can be with this guy

It's James Risch (R-ID). He's a tool. He gave Comey the Fox treatment. He's a bot for the NRSC.

Diane Feinstein setting a trap for Cletus, we'll see if he falls into it.
