POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

Newsmax guy is doubling down on his sources for the Trump is going to fire Mueller story. Pundits I heard this morning believe that even if Trump did that Ryan and Turtle Boy would still support him. There is nothing this man can do where his party will leave him.

The GOP and Fox are already wheeling out all their apologists and water carriers for this. Newt Himself was blathering about it today.

They don't care.

It looks like the strategy is to make a lot noise about firing and, at the same time, about how Mueller has a conflict of interest that prevents him from being impartial. The end game is not so much to remove Mueller as to damage his credibility in advance. Seems ridiculous, given Mueller's reputation, but the GOP does this kind of thing very effectively, at least with its base.

My Fox-watching co-workers are already saying Trump "has to" fire Mueller because the investigation "is already over" and also "he was appointed the wrong way."

The zombies are already deployed.

It's interesting. The GOP appears to be showing their true colors. Last time the Democrats had full control they wanted to give health care to everybody. These guys just want to give more money to people who don't need it. Apparently the government really does control the economy or it would be a complete waste of time for them even to bother running.

If he fires Mueller the amount of leaks will quadruple. There will be open revolt outside of the Party...no State Department worker will be loyal.

Speaking of leaking, in the last thread I mentioned the rumor that Kellyanne was leaking...it comes from here

The gist of it is there is someone on Twitter named "Kellyanne Leaks" who was at an embassy dinner she was at. Apparently she was telling everyone she could talk to about things Trump was saying and staffers inside the White House. (including Reince Himmler) The twitter person included pictures of Kellyanne at the dinner as proof.

Ryan and Turtle boy might support don, but Senator Rounds (R, South Dakota) clearly would not accept that move. And he thinks that many of his colleagues would side with him and support Mueller. This was mentioned in an interview with him on Morning Edition.

Reading the Comments section is a good way to see what propaganda is being disseminated to the base, as they mindlessly echo it back. Historians will now always know what the contemporary masses were thinking (well, emoting) about events. "The Emancipation Proclamation is an unconstitutional power grab by N-ggerlover Lincoln and the Deep State. The cucks in the Army of Northern Virginia are deliberately failin' The Cause and will be punished by Gawd!"
I used to think the comment section was just a minority of loud morons. Then Trump got elected.

A good, albeit vague for obvious reasons, piece on the extent of Russian hacking of our election databases. It's far worse than anyone thought.

That is quite a bit more in depth than we previously believed...

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

Yeesh. And what the Trump army will say is "See! Can't prove he was involved at all!! he is vindicated!! You lost!! Get over it!!" instead of focusing on the actual issue.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

There is a certain genius behind his choice to go all in on idiocy (though it's probably just who he is). And he proved in November that he can get by with preaching to the choir only.

What a clown show! It would be just plain fun if he were not such a danger to so many.

Uday brings the stupid.

Donald Trump Jr. on Saturday said that his father did speak to fired FBI Director James Comey about his preferred outcome for the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn, though President Donald Trump flatly denied doing so.

“When I hear the Flynn comments, you and I know both know my father for a long time. When he tells you to do something, guess what? There’s no ambiguity in it,” Trump Jr. told Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro. “There’s no ‘Hey, I’m hoping. You and I are friends. Hey, I hope this happens, but you’ve got to do your job.’ That’s what he told Comey.”

On Friday, however, the President flatly denied making those remarks to Comey or pressuring him to drop the investigation into Flynn, implicitly or otherwise.

And what president wants to admit that something like this is happening on his watch? Can you imagine the outcry if Obama would have said something about this more definitively in the summer or fall? He would have been accused by the right of whining before the fact and of allowing the Russians to waltz their way in. Of course after the fact, since it now may snare their big orange poop stain on the underwear it is less of a story, or maybe even fake news.

Everything to me points to the fact that the Russians wanted trump because they want the gravy train to continue and they want more. So there you have it trumpettes, your boy is a russian dupe and your support of him is borderline treasonous. I can't believe I lived to see the day where the Russians are messing with us to THIS extent and republicans are allowing it to continue mostly unabated.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

Saw it. Schumer's parody of it is epic.
I love how they crack up at the end. Following Obama's official Photog on instagram (@petesouza) who cracks me up by posting pics of Obama successfully doing things after Trump screws up. Today he posted 'a working cabinet meeting, 2014 with a pic of then all actually looking like they were doing something.

Re-posting a previous link about Trump supposedly considering firing Mueller because the comments section makes me weep for my country. http://dailycaller.com/2017/06/12/report-trump-weighing-firing-special-counsel-robert-mueller/

It's no wonder Trump was elected. My goodness. :(

Nope. They dangled it to see what the reaction would be

It reminds me of how the Greek city states would invite in an enemy like Persia to back them against a rival. Then, of course, the "ally" wouldn't leave...

That's also how the Brits absorbed the Mughal Empire.

The expression is not "unite and conquer."
