POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

How about people just do their thing and let others do their thing? Not a difficult concept.

How dare you preach to me that I cannot thrust my obviously superior views upon the populous!

:D

Btw, totally agree with you. Especially regarding redheads. I'm married to one.

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

“I believe it hurts our country terribly, because it shows we’re a divided, mixed-up, not-unified country,” the president said. “And we have very important things to be doing right now, whether it’s trade deals, whether it’s military, whether it’s stopping nuclear.. And I think this shows a very divided country.

Trump added, “It also happens to be a pure excuse for the Democrats having lost an election that they should have easily won because of the Electoral College being slanted so much in their way. That’s all this is. I think it shows division, and it shows that we’re not together as a country. And I think it’s a very, very negative thing. And hopefully, this can go quickly, because we have to show unity if we’re going to do great things with respect to the rest of the world.”

Just think. People voted for that. And, they to this day don't think that was a bad thing. Kind of redefines the term "people" for me.

yeah -- the electoral college is so slanted in favor of the democrats that they lost the EC vote twice in recent memory while still winning the popular vote!

what a dumb ***

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Interesting story breaking down how the Echo Chamber keeps its captives ignorant, using the prior week's news as a sample.

The basic rule is nothing that would break RW programming is permitted to be aired. There are two strategies:

The first is the context that conservative media just sidesteps; this obfuscation allows an audience to form a different account of events.

The second is the role of additional characters in these storylines — specifically the “liberal media” and Democrats colluding to manipulate the public.

Let’s be clear about what’s happening here: Right-wing media is creating coherent alternate storylines with different characters and different context — but a narrative that competes with contextual facts that support a more accurate story. Even amid some of the most troubling presidential news in decades, a huge portion of this country is having a very different experience of these events, and repeating it over and over. Our collective memories — and, in turn, our shared culture — are being splintered.

Fox and Hate Radio are the plutes' mechanism for controlling their conserfs. One need only look at this thread to see how effective they are.

I suspect media coverage of a school shooting is also overwhelmingly negative.

Calling sh-t stinky isn't "negative" coverage. It's accurate. The fascinating thing with that result is that 50% of the time Fox is calling sh-t "sweet."

I would have thought you'd be more outraged, given the source. And I'm not talking Infowars, either. ;):p

Nah, I'd even trust a state school* to get a frequency distribution right.

* Well, a blue state.

Seth Moulton's response to Trump claiming this is the biggest witch hunt in American History is gold!

Seth Moulton said:
As the representative of Salem, MA, I can confirm this is false.

Three good headlines from the Hill today:

President Trump reportedly tried to submit federal ethics forms that detail his finances without signing them in order to shield himself from trouble if they prove to be inaccurate.

“Blah blah blah blah blah is what I think about that stuff,” Speaker Paul Ryan said about the growing possibility that Democrats could win big in the 2018 midterm elections.

Foreign officials meeting President Trump during his first overseas trip are being told to praise him for winning the Electoral College last year, according to a new report.

Im guessing that they then give him a juice box and some goldfish snacks

Donald Trump: the First Millenial

Embassies and leaders who have met with Trump have been speaking among themselves and with other dignitaries about how to handle the new president, and a number of themes have emerged, the report said.

Among them are suggestions to compliment Trump on his election win, and compare him favorably to former President Obama; not to expect him to know your country's history or hot-button issues; and make a short presentation tailored to his attention span, and don't try to bring up a long list of issues.
