In large part it's a popularity contest for the first few rounds, mixed in with some votes for posters who people think truly are posers. Once you get down to the last couple brackets the people who are left are those who are mostly true posers, as the word's used for the contest.

That's not what I'm questioning. FlagDUDE clearly had a sh*tload of votes, Priceless was in second with 3 votes, so they're both in. I am questioning the tiebreaker for Goldy, unofan, Scooby, and myself each having two votes in the "Scary" group, but three of us make the Top 5 cut while unofan doesn't.

That's the secret. And there is an actual method to the tiebreakers.

This is the issue, IMO, of picking one out of eight. Had it been two or three out of eight, we would have seen a greater representation of who should move on. Instead, we get said "group of death" scenario. Too bad the pole functionality doesn't have a mechanism where you can order picks similar to that other pole, and give points based on that.
