Polls! Please List a Top 25 in Your Men's and Women's Polls

For 25 years I have been chirping that the college men's and women's ice hockey polls should be listing a Top 25 and NOT 15 - (Men's USAToday), 20 (Men - USCHO) and 10 (Women - USCHO).

Sad, when we have 16 teams in the men's ice hockey bracket and only 15 in the USA Today poll. Makes no sense!

We need promote our sports and help all the universities who invest millions in their programs get some national ranking for their men's and women's programs

You can do the research, but many sports list more than the what men's ice hockey and women's ice hockey list in their national poll.

Women's Water Polo
Men's Water Polo
Field Hockey
Men's Lacrosse
Women's Lacrosse

all list more than the 15/10 the men's and women's ice hockey list in their national polls.

Hope those that make these decisions will promote men's and women's ice hockey even more than they have done in the past.

Please, Please, Please list a Top 25 for men's and women's ice hockey in all your polls.

So basically, that means let's rank half the team in DI.

Using Fred's logic, the basketball poll should be about 100 teams.

Sure but I don't think that will do much in promoting either the university or the sport.

It'll look bad w a large number of sub-500 schools

Bouncyball

Hockey

Do those ratios out... The low info types would exclaim how our sport is crudtastic

Why stop at 25?
Why keep score?
Everybody should just get a "thank you for participating" certificate.

My son brought home his "Team Participation" trophy and sumarily threw it in the trash.

He gets it.

I never did quite that but I remember getting one when I was 10 or 11... Didn't really care, thought it was dumb.

I hold the second place finish in youth soccer high... Undefeated season but it was 6-0-3 vs 7-0-2.
